Is the contagion of botched quote boxes spreading here?   Anyway...

LOL.  You reposted an entry of mine and crossed out the entire thing without addressing what in that entirely factual post you objected to…and next post later you accuse me of posting like a high schooler…

Sorry it was over your head, REDSTATEWARD, but it’s a commentary on how you, and Republicans in general, for purely partisan reasons look past Trump’s rank idiocy (not even that he isn’t qualified to be POTUS, the guy isn’t qualified to do anything…) not to mention the now established borderline treasonous behavior.  It’s in line with my previous post.  Which you would have gotten, if you read it before crossing it out.

You'd be so much better served if not so over the top.

Just the facts, kiidcarter8.

Its a fact that thinking that a grocery store would float someone a months worth of groceries on a promise they would be paid later is idiotic.  Beyond that, it reveals a level of cluelessness that is unfathomable.  And thats just yesterday's proof of his being unqualified.  Your companion here has claimed that AOC's political career was "destroyed" for far less than that.

As for the treason?  Fact:  Donald Trump provided Putin leverage over him by lying to the American public about the existence of the Moscow tower deal when Putin knew the truth.  And sustained that situation at least up until the election if not beyond.  And now today, the Stone arrest reminds that the Trump Campaign actively solicited info from and coordinated with a known Putin vehicle to release information stolen from his political opponent.   I say "borderline" only because it may not technically meet the definition of Treason, but it is high disloyalty, not the actions of a patriot whose priority is the success of the United States of America.

"Over the top" is defending Trump despite these facts.  And as more and more of his associates go to jail, it becomes clear that we will get to the point that it will not be possible to be "over the top" in describing Individual-1's criminality, corruption and unfitness for the office he holds.

Where are the critics who were so concerned about the handling of classified info by Hillary Clinton now?

Kushner's was one of at least 30 cases in which Kline overruled career security experts and approved a top-secret clearance for incoming Trump officials despite unfavorable information, the two sources said. They said the number of rejections that were overruled was unprecedented — it had happened only once in the three years preceding Kline's arrival.

Well said. (botjh posts)

Spouse and I were reduced to giggles by the news from the barrel this a. m.

Quote
The indictment accuses Stone of carrying out a “prolonged effort” to keep Credico from contradicting his testimony before the House intelligence committee. During that effort, prosecutors note that Stone repeatedly told Credico to “do a ‘Frank Pentangeli,’” a reference to a character in “The Godfather: Part II” who lies before a congressional committee.

Stone is also accused of threatening Credico. The indictment cites several messages, some of which have already been public, that Stone sent to Credico last year. On April 9, Stone called Credico a “rat” and a “stoolie” and accused him of backstabbing his friends. Stone also threatened to “take that dog away from you,” a reference to Credico’s dog, Bianca.

“I am so ready. Let’s get it on. Prepare to die (expletive),” Stone also wrote to Credico.

Michelle Goldberg, as per usual, on point:

One effect of this government shutdown, now in its second month and without immediate end in sight, is to reveal the sham of Trump’s purported populism. It’s true, he’s able to connect culturally with some economically precarious parts of America. Despite being expensively educated, his worldview is basically that of Archie Bunker. He eats fast food, likes pro wrestling and has the terrible taste in interior design common to arriviste dictators. His vulgarity creates a kinship with people who purport to hate elites.

Yet in purely financial terms, Trump is as elitist as they come. Though he campaigned as a candidate of (white) workers, he has governed as a shameless oligarch. He has proudly surrounded himself with millionaires and billionaires, seeing their wealth as evidence of their worth. At a rally in 2017, speaking of his economic advisers, he said, “But in those particular positions, I just don’t want a poor person.” He has gone out of his way not to hire anyone who would actually understand the plight of the workers he’s holding hostage.

While this might be an example of the wish being the father of the thought, I suspect the shutdown will be over by the end of next week.

So today we find out that one hour after the Access Hollywood tape was released, Wikileaks posted the first round of stolen Podesta emails, and a high ranking Trump Campaign official texted Roger Stone "well done."

Enter REDSTATEWARD: "Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez uses press-on nails!"

After the smack down by Pelosi and the senate votes I wouldn’t be surprised if it comes to an end this weekend...

Enter REDSTATEWARD: "Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez uses press-on nails!"

From today's indictment:

"After the July 22, 2016 release of stolen DNC emails by Organization 1 (Wikileaks) a senior Trump Campaign official was directed to contact STONE about any additional releases and what other damaging information Organization 1 (Wikileaks) had regarding the Clinton Campaign."

Question being asked:  Who was in a position to issue orders to senior campaign officials?

Kushner?
Don Jr?
Eric?

Truth: Jared Kushner and @EricTrump were joint deputy campaign managers to @realDonaldTrump. Nobody else. Not one  person made a decision without their approval. Others just took credit for this family’s amazing ability. I’m done with all these lies. They will be embarrassed!

Getting owned by Pelosi pushes this further to a conclusion, true, but it will be the flight delays that end it.

I feel like Luke Skywalker. Amazing. Every word in that sentence is a lie.

On PBS last night they ran a docu about Mussolini.  The segment about his methods of indoctrination (as well as others) was so weirdly similar to what's going on now.   His rhetoric,  his giant spiky signature,  his use of short punchy sentences....Even his facial expressions were so like 45's that I wanted to pull out my Tibetan Book of the Dead and check the standard interval for transmigration.  About 14 months between Il Duce's death and Trump's birth.

I later did check the TBotD, but it said only 49 days.  I wasn't clear if that was death date to birth date, or death date to moment of conception.  If the latter, then I've got a tinfoil hat theory ready to go!
