Just read the transcript.  Pay no attention to the fourth witness (or is it the fifth?) to confirm that Trump was looking for a Quid Pro Quo on Ukraine:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/national-security-council-official-set-to-testify-in-impeachment-inquiry-is-leaving-his-post/2019/10/30/261285c6-fb62-11e9-8190-6be4deb56e01_story.html

And knowing that not one Republican will even vote in favor of an investigation that looks into Ukraine?

Shameful.

It gives republicans an opportunity to say that “I did not choose to pursue this investigation, but in the face of the overwhelming evidence of a continuous series of crimes, I hereby vote to forward these charges to the Senate for a trial.”

The country is sick of him. 54-41 against the useless crook

This is still going to be a long long investigation.

Another day to sit back and gawk at the irony of multiple GOPers accusing the Democrats of a "Soviet Style" investigation because Trump should be allowed to call on a US citizen to be investigated in Ukraine.

To put it another way, by the time Moscow Mitch has brought all the House passed bills up for a floor vote in the Senate, the House will have presented charges for the Senate trial.

Not one GOP broke ranks.  Will Hurd did not break ranks.  What's weird is:  he's quitting the House and has no electorate to please/appease.

As evidence of espionage, corruption, and abandonment of lawful duty, trump’s call to the Ukraine was, as he likes to say again and again, perfect.

Aren't folks tired yet of having a Chaos President, with all the attendant showmanship without substance, the constant misinfomation, the harsh partisanship, the crude denigration of anyone not pro-Trump?  Hasn't this ish worn out its welcome by now?

Well, Justin Amash voted for, and he was a GOPer before his disgust with their enabling of Trump corruption.

Fear is a powerful thing, and no one wanted to be the one guy who stepped forward to be left undefended.  You have to know that many would support this, party politics aside.  Every one would have supported it if the President was a Democrat.

If that isn't true, what exactly is the argument?  That there is zero predicate for an investigation?  That is too obviously untrue.  You have the whistelblower complaint, the "transcript," a statement from the "president's" own chief of staff, and eye witness accounts from multiple people inside the White House with not one argument emerging that supports Trump's position.  That is a pile of predicate.

Is the argument that even if there was Quid Pro Quo, it is ok for a President of the United States to use wartime aid voted for by Congress to extort an ally into launching politically motivated investigations for the purpose of deceiving the american electorate, while hiding the evidence and obstructing the effort to get at the truth?

That's the one argument you can make at this point if you can't at least support an investigation.  But its funny, not one of those people who voted against the House probe would dare make it publicly.

As impeachment becomes more popular and more obviously necessary, the DEMS need to remind the US public that the only reason this is happening, and major Trump abuses and corruption are being exposed, is that the Dems won control of the House.

They need to remind folks to register and to vote, so that the Dems can maintain and expand their House majority, but more importantly, stress the need for the Dems to capture the Senate so that can rectify things, return the country to normalcy and set about enacting the progressive agenda.  Health care, environment, reverse the Trump tax cuts, tax the wealthy more to start reversing extreme wealth inequality, improve the economy, regulate the banks and financial institutions, put a check on Big IT, appoint judges who will follow the law of he land and not try to subvert it, massive infrastructure repair and projects which will provide jobs and fix the long-term neglect, promote 21st C technology and innovation, etc.

Trump Administration withholding aid to Lebanon, has not offered an explanation to Congress:

https://thehill.com/policy/international/468444-trump-administration-withholding-105m-in-aid-for-lebanon

One U.S. official told the news service that the withdrawal of the U.S. security assistance would likely result in Russia moving in to offer aid in response, driving Lebanon's government closer politically to the Kremlin.

When it comes to Trump's foreign policy, all roads lead to Putin.

Vulnerable GOP Senators support Trump by voting against his impeachment on patriotic principal for cash:

Trump's support among Republicans down 13% since this summer.  18% of Republicans support impeachment and removal.

So at least we can say some party affiliated Americans have some integrity, even if the officials they elect do not.

Wish we saw some sign of that here.
