"Seems" because you have repeatedly made an issue of racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic and Islamaphobic people being "deplorable" but are silent about the President calling his opponents "Human scum".
Nice evasion.

Says the man who is *still* silent on the language.
Is his language an impeachable offense?

Yes.

Not that part of it, but the part in which he makes it clear that Ukraine can't have what it wants (and needs) until and unless they do his political dirty work is impeachable language.

But Ward?

Now you know why we know that it is okay with you  that Trump called people "human scum."
Want to try that answer again?

You don't like the truth?

Quelle suprise.

His call to have China help him? Impeachable language.
Huh?
Quote
His telling folks that they could not accept a subpoena? Impeachable language. (Just ask 1998 L. Graham.)
Huh?
Quote
His telling folks to fire Mueller? Impeachable language.
Mueller wasn’t fired.
Quote
His calling Never-Trumpers "human scum?" Nope, not impeachable. That he called some people that who were not Never-Trumpers is also not impeachable.
That you have failed to criticize him for calling them Human Scum, while continuing to deplorably complain about Hil's terminology? It's an indictment of your character.
Hillary slandered voters for siding with her opponent. Their recourse was at the ballot box.
Those called scum by Trump have other means of getting even.

And you illustrate it again:
Clinton slandered, according to you, while Trump merely "called" people Human Scum.

You are so transparent.

"By the way, likewise, China should start an investigation into the Bidens because what happened in China is just about as bad as what happened with Ukraine," is impeachable language.

Quote
In a letter sent to the panel and obtained by the Associated Press, the White House counsel Pat Cipollone wrote that the justice department has advised – and Trump has directed – Dearborn and Porter to defy subpoenas because of “constitutional immunity”. Lawyers for both men said they would follow Trump’s orders.

Corey Lewandowski, Trump’s former campaign manager, who never worked for the White House, is expected to attend the hearing as its sole witness on Tuesday. In a separate letter, Cipollone said Lewandowski should not reveal private conversations with Trump beyond what is in the former special counsel Robert Mueller’s report.

Democrats are challenging such claims of “absolute immunity” in a lawsuit against the former White House counsel Don McGahn, who defied a subpoena earlier this year on Trump’s orders. They say that such a claim does not legally exist.
Impeachable language.

Quote
In an interview with Mueller, McGahn recalled Trump telling him "Mueller has to go" and "call me back when you do it."
Impeachable language, because the failure of the effort does not mean there was no effort and lack of success is not an excuse against "obstruction of justice" charges.

Impeachable language.

But you knew that, you deplorable human scum!

Clinton did not slander anyone. The people she called deplorable are racists, sexists, homophobes, xenophobes and Islamaphobes. I am comfortable deploring them. Since you were offended, I would like to know, which one.or more of those.five things are you?

Pure corruption at the highest level of the DOJ:

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-impeachment-inquiry-latest-russia-mueller-ukraine-zelensky-a9181641.html

Trump and Barr have also been asking other foreign governments for help in investigating the FBI, CIA and Mueller investigators. The US president has called on the Australian prime minister Scott Morrison for assistance, while the attorney general has been on similar missions to the UK and Italy.

And the information being requested has left allies astonished. One British official with knowledge of Barr’s wish list presented to London commented that “it is like nothing we have come across before, they are basically asking, in quite robust terms, for help in doing a hatchet job on their own intelligence services”.

As much as we have become accustomed to bad faith and corruption in the Trump/GOP this is appalling.

And as Republicans in Congress gear up to say it is ok for the “president” to corrupt the State Department for his own political purposes, the next step will be for them to say the same about the DOJ. If Trump says a political rival should be investigated they will be, without predicate.

Nice Democracy we had while it lasted.

Trump got caught withholding military aid and US support from Ukraine unless they dug dirt on Biden.  Getting hard to deny.  And Ukraine was very vulnerable with Russia taking over swathes of its territory and remaining belligerent, while the new Ukie president is a political novice.  Ukraine was desperate for US military aid and general support to keep Russia in check.  And Trump jacked them for election help.

It's a pretty simple story to understand.  US foreign policy --assistance to an ally and protection from an enemy -- was contingent upon a foreign country helping Trump harm his political enemies.

So an abuse of power.  And illegally soliciting campaign help from a foreign gov't.  Putting personal partisan interest ahead of US gov't policy.

And the obstruction issues aren't hard to understand either.
Wihtholding documents and notes of meetings.  Not letting anyone in the Exec Branch testify in Congress.  Etc.

Really it's best to let these House hearings play out for weeks or longer.  Just keep the damaging info coming on Trump, under oath.  get the public to understand the level of corruption and seriousness of the charges.  And the extent of abuse of the political system by Trump.  Put pressure on GOP Congresspeople to vote on impeachment after it's clear Trump is guilty.

Certainly no rush to get to the Senate.  The more the House carefully gathers evidence and convinces the public that Trump violated the trust and the Constitution the better.  Maybe if the GOP-led Senate does some sort of Mickey Mouse whitewash and votes on partisan line,s it could take down a number of senators and maybe flip the chamber to the Dems.  And then the Taint of Trump will be clearly on all Repubs in Congress.

So far Pelosi and Schiff have done a masterful job.
Need to keep the pressure on and pace moving forward, but a little meticulous dragging it out is good too.

They have “elections” in Iran too.

Allowing those in power to use the levers of government to lie and deceive the electorate in order to  maintain power so that they can keep self-dealing for themselves and their friends is not the hallmark of a Democracy.

That you would be apoplectic if a Democrat was doing this bit fully support it to keep tax cuts just more evidence of how far we have fallen.

C'mon - get with the program

Biden's stance is that the 2020 loss is what kills it - not that the democracy is dead already

With no republicans on the ballot we can still have elections in 2020.

Just need actual conservatives to challenge the ossified incumbent crooks in the primaries.

Are there any actual conservatives left in America?

Gee.
According to you and the Elba  “experts”  2016 was lost by a mere 77000 votes in 6 key states.
Seems to me a viable political party would find a way to overcome that tiny margin rather than the charade of fantasies like Russia!, Obstruction!  Campaign Finance Laws! The Kavanaugh Lie  and now Ukraine!
Don’t be surprised when the voters put it altogether the only corruption they will care about came from the democrats.

The charade of fantasy is that you walk upright on your hind legs.

You heel like a bitch and can’t stop slobbering on the rug.

There’s a nice farm waiting for you upstate.

No, HRC called anyone who did not agree with her liberal elitist platform, deplorable. She did it again calling Tulsi a Russian asset. Too many long campaigns and tough loses, a true basket case. Russians, racists and baby rapers, not to mention coal miners, laborers and the greater mid-west, conspired against her,LOL.

Or Benghazi!  Email Servers!
Though the O Admin was pretty competent and upright, so the GOP also distracted and obstructed with phony issues they didn't care about such as Deficit Scares! or deployed Gov't Shutdowns.

Unfortunately try to tar the opp with scandal and block any legislation is where our politics are these days.

Of course much of that dates back to the Clinton Admin and Newt's scorched earth approach.  Whitewater!  Vince Foster!  Monica Lewinsky!  Impeachment!  and Gov't Shutdowns.
Though back  some compromise and bipartisan legislation was still doable, as both sides wanted credit for doing something.  Mainly this was due to the Dems becoming Republican Lite and embracing GOP priorities -- welfare reform, punitive criminal justice, Big Business trade deals, etc.

Obama tried that centrist approach and found that the Heritage Foundation/Romneycare was actually the spawn of Lenin.  And once they could the GOP just blocked him and ground his presidency down, including not permitting his judges to be voted on or seated, culminating in the Supreme Court theft (which somehow the Dems fail to remind folks of).  Which is of course the context for Kavanaugh getting bitch-slapped.

Baby rapers?  And the Russians did conspire against her. And the Trump campaign was complicit in that conspiracy. Fact.

As for coal miners, Hillary warned them that their industry was dying and offered plans to help them get alternative careers.  Many of them are now wishing they listened rather than buying Trump’s snake oil.
