That doesn’t make Trump’s win illegitimate. The rules are the rules.

Right

But of course those same rules say that Congress has the right to initiate impeachment hearings if it believes the president has committed high crimes and misdemeanors, leaving it to them to define those terms.

Right as well

Doesnt mean we can't call it a waste of time witch hunt.

It is the Constitutional duty of Congress to provide oversight of the POTUS.    Especially if he's a lying corrupt piece of human scum.   Which Trump is.

The Reagan coalition

This disease needs to be eradicated today.

Knocking off trump and his enablers would be a good start.

Turkey and Syria have been fighting for at least the last 4 days, Bambi. Do try to keep up.

As they have for years, as Trump was saying.

Well, no, actually, Kid. Turkey and Syria haven't been actively engaged in warfare in years.

And wasn't it just tother day that you were bragging about Trump's "permanent ceasefire?"

Too fucking funny.

In Putin's pocket?

What makes you say so?

Threaten to cut off federal aid to California for their fires, while offering aid to Putin for theirs.

An all-American boy, our Mr. Trump!

Comical to call it a Trump peace.
To recap:
Trump pulled the US out, resulting in a Turkish invasion of a sovereign country with the goal of ethnic cleansing, forcing the Kurds to flee, bringing Russia and Syria into the region for the first time in years.  Some Kurds killed and lots of refugees uprooted by this military dislocation.

Then Putin and Erdogan reached a truce agreement with both sides occupying Syrian territory near the border, after Trump washed his hands of the matter.  The US withdrawal was so erratic, Trump didn't have a plan where the withdrawn US troops would go or whether any were still needed in Syria.  And Kurds were killed and harassed in the process, instead of some kind of negotiated pullback from the get go.

Trump created a mess, abandoned an ally, aided war crimes, and left it to others to patch things up = Trump Peace!

Goes to show what Turkey is all about.
Turkey should be the one attracting the ire of the world.

Kurds should be all moved back to Kurdistan, where they can be protected from Turkey.
Let Syria-Russia fight Turkey over Syria.
Putin wouldn't be so stooped as to not protect the Christians in Syria, seeing as how Russia is basically a 'Christian' country.

US troops out of Syria, and home for Christmas,...that's good.
They can now be used to seal the US-Mexico border.

US should never have been in Syria in the first place, backing the 'Muslim rebels' against the protector of the Christians Assad.

Kurds should be all moved back to Kurdistan, where they can be protected from Turkey.

There is no Kurdistan.  That's a large part of the problem.
Erdogan didn't like the Kurds having a high degree of autonomy next to the border with Turkley's Kurdish lands.  That's why he invaded.  To separate the Syrian Kurds  from his oppressed Kurds.

Let Syria-Russia fight Turkey over Syria.

Uh, we tried that under Obama.  Result: millions of refugees which destabilized Europe.  And the birth of a terrorist enclave run by ISIS.

Obama tried to stay out, until ISIS filled the gap and gave a safe haven for terrorists.

It is curious that as the US found itself waging a global war against Muslim fundamentalists, it chose to overthrow Saddam's secular regime, undermine Assad's similar Baathist gov't, and bomb Qaddafi out of existence.
Also, dropped Mubarak like a rock and was willing to engage with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

All of which brought more power and influence to the religious gov'ts of Iran and Saudi Arabia.  And the nascent Muslim nationalism of Turkey's Erdogan.

So the US has helped wipe out the ME secularists and allowed the religious fundamentalists to flourish.

Whenever a person, or group of persons, starts to believe they know all the answers to how to fix the world and everyone's lives, they tend to become deaf, blind, and rigidly invincibly stupid.

A federal appeals panel said on Monday that President Trump’s accounting firm must turn over eight years of his personal and corporate tax returns to Manhattan prosecutors, a setback for the president’s attempt to keep his financial records private.

The three-judge appeals panel did not take a position on the president’s biggest argument — that he was immune from all criminal investigations. A lower court had called that argument “repugnant to the nation’s governmental structure and constitutional values.”

Instead, the appeals court said the president’s accounting firm, not Mr. Trump himself, was subpoenaed for the documents, so it did not matter whether presidents have immunity.

All well-reasoned and well-explained.  And all completely unnecessary when responding to Bambu.

He'll make the same exact post again next week some time.

I believe the President's and kiid's response would be something like the returns would show him to be such a brilliant businessman and so successful and rich that the dazzling display of his awesome awesomeness would blind mere mortals and he wants to protect us. Either that or they would show he is nowhere near as rich as he claims, has committed fraud against several lending institutions and is up to his goggle protected eyeballs in debt to Russian banks and Deutschebank. One of the two.

I've long thought his tax returns will show nothing of much interest other than he's probably given nothing to charity.  His "brilliance" as a businessman, his net worth and even fraudulent activity is not likely going to be demonstrated in a tax return.  Why not release them? As long as we're talking about tax returns, we might not be talking about other things.

It’s going to be up to the supremes or a leaker, one or the other. Two long standing sets of books. The tax debts and penalties will exceed current net worth, give or take the proceeds of embezzlement while in office. We will see an insurmountable monument of felony fraud committed by and for trump if and when the Mazars stuff comes out.
