You leapt to the conclusion that I feel Cal-Berkeley is a sewer solely due to this one instance.
I'm guessing it's because a lot of really smart kids go there.

Not expert enough to draft a valid legal opinion on the topic when that was his job. Maybe his expertise is obscured behind the amoral and unprincipled position he find and takes to defend whatever reprehensible act by a republican he’s crawling back into the light to defend.

Trump is asking the Supreme Court to shield his tax returns.  He could well win.  I think RBG will recuse herself.

He has previously taken great pains to say he wasn't a National Security expert when it came to policy.  His only expertise, he has tried to tell us, is legal.  Unless "political hackery"  is an expertise.
Ok. So you don’t like his opinions.
But he is an expert on National Security Expert by any definition.
Kudos to Cal/Berkeley for hiring him.

He is neither an expert on national security experts, nor a national security expert, by any definition.

John Yoo is a lawyer who worked in the Department of Justice under W.  His seminal work in that role, the torture memo which refuted our obligations to the Geneva Conventions, was panned by actual national security experts for the very real damage it did to our national security interests.
