I didn't find the speech in question, after admittedly a rather cursory search. But I assume Harris is aware that police sometimes shoot working folks in their homes for being black.
Anyway, I don't think Harris' campaign is going anywhere. I find her interesting and smart and tough, but I don't think she's ready for this cycle. But this is all good experience for her for down the road. Being senator from CA affords rather good job security, and she can continue to build her profile and hone her political skills, and could be a force in 4 or hopefully 8 years.
Possibly if Biden dropped out, Harris (or Booker) could have surged with black support. I think that was/has become Kamala's only chance this run. Blacks don't seem terribly enamored with Warren, Sanders, or Mayor Pete.
Doesn't seem that Harris' campaign has been been well run. Strategy seems unclear, and when she got momentum, she couldn't capitalize.
Harris is likely to make some Veep short lists.
Especially paired with a white male.
But would be interesting as hell if Liz tabbed Kamala.
