This is a hell of a piece...

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/22/opinion/colin-kaepernick-nfl.html?smid=fb-nytopinion&smtyp=cur

Japanese-Americans in WW2...need to blame the leaders of Japan, Japanese people in Japan who supported the leaders and their actions, and Japanese spies in Hawaii etc for what happened to them.

Kaepernick has to take responsibility for his own actions, and the consequences thereof.

What were the detention camps during World War II but the racist muting of Japanese-Americans and their basic rights?

Self defence by the USA.

What was the reason for Japanese internment camps?
The objectives of the order were to prevent espionage and to protect persons of Japanese descent from harm at the hands of Americans who had strong anti-Japanese attitudes.

But in the wake the impeachment hearings Sen Graham has come to Trump's defense and wants ti investigate the Bidens, and has sought documents from the State Dept.

Senate Republicans will now give Trump the "investigation" he tried to extort from Ukraine.

Unreal.

Even though the GOP Senators have been briefed...

This is a big fucking deal.

Sens Grassley and Johnson made their Russian affiliation official as well.

It should be closed depositions and strategizing as more documents come out, then more public hearings in the new year when congress reconvenes. The senate can hear it all again in February by which time it will still take all of a month to get through even at a break neck pace. Senators will vote.

The whole GOP could have Chris Christie numbers by Labor Day.

We’ll see how John Roberts feels about compelling the testimony of directly implicated cabinet officials.

Expect huge Twitter sharts from herr dummkopf this weekend, and maybe another routine visit to Walter Reed.

Wham, bam thank you ma’am!

https://www.americanoversight.org/state-department-releases-ukraine-documents-to-american-oversight

And many more document requests by this group are pending!  They may need to upgrade their web hosting.

The fact that these documents could be obtained under FOIA procedures indicates that the White House had no legal basis for witholding them from Congress in the first place- (as they did when asked to supply them to Congressional impeachment investigators).   So... obstruction.

We already know that Trump prefers to speak in code and not directly state his shadier plans.  And that Trump delegates out dirty tricks and shady dealings to his personal lawyer (I'm assuming he expects he can rely on attorney-client privilege to keep things hush hush).

Just as he had Michael Cohen pay off porn actresses (why are they always referred to as "stars"?).  And handle other dirty business.
Rudy just became next lawyer up when Cohen got indicted and went to jail.

That Rudy was handling the shady Ukraine Q pro Q is prima facie evidence that Trump knew it was wrong and wanted to distance himself from it.  That Trump denied that he wanted anything from Ukriane is clearly false, just as when Trump said he had no business dealings in Russia.  He lies.  But the use of his private lawyer to do dirty deals is part of Trump's MO, and should be used as evidence that he knew it was wrong.

Two of Rudy's henchmen on Ukraine are under indictment.

News Item

The latest data from the Census Bureau monthly surveys tell a continuing positive story. Real median household income — the amount earned by those in the very middle — hit $65,084 (in 2019 dollars) for the 12 months ending in July. That’s the highest level ever and a gain of $4,144, or 6.8%, since Mr. Trump took office. By comparison, during 7½ years under President Obama — starting from the end of the recession in June 2009 through January 2017 — the median household income rose by only about $1,000.

Nice job by Dems "getting back to work, financing the census and getting vets a 3.4% increase"

- talking point from Rep Dean on Fox yesterday with M McCallum.

And then last week there was the rushed “tryout,” the details of which are still murky. But what followed was a debate over Mr. Kaepernick’s comportment, attire and what he had to say. The debate helped obscure this central fact — a multibillion-dollar monopoly is, at this very hour, denying a worker the right to ply his trade and lying about doing so.

Well, no- they were trying to GET HIM a job - one he would of course be unhappy with, because no team was bringing him in at this juncture to start.
- Thus the circus that CK drummed up - where he can now continue to be a martyr, as is his want, a close second to his real desire - to be an NFL team's savior at stating QB (I give him that much)

Uh, that is in addition to all the witness testimony, Trump's phone call, Mulvaney's admission, etc.

It's just additional context.
But explains nicely why Rudy was involved.

There is very likely evidence (on an iPhone or iPad) that Rudy knew he was working for a Russian operation back in 2015 if not earlier, back when he was working his slime on the FBI.
