Meanwhile, members of the Grand Ole Liars Party are rallying around the president as if it were their duty to fib for him.

Piece by piece, the article dismantles the lies, denials, and obfuscations that the House GOLP engage in in their voluminous pile of bullshit.

And apparently it is time for another distraction, as Trump prepares to open another front in his trade wars.

Sparkling wine and cheese from France.

Yeah, I am sure that will help both the people and the economy of the United States. Not!

Registering people and getting out the vote should be a very high priority.  The GOP benefits form the fact that few people vote.
(Last presidential election it was something like 38% Did Not Vote; 31% Clinton; 31% Trump).  Which is of course why the GOp tries to implement neo-poll taxes, removing the vote from felons, requiring photo ID, making it harder to register; moving polling stations, limiting registration, etc.)

They really should blanket the black community and try to get everyone of color to register and vote, especially in a dozen key states.  If a voting block votes, their issues get addressed.

Boomer whiteys are especially problematic.

http://www.vice.com/en_us/article/zmjpn4/millennials-have-a-right-to-be-pissed-at-boomers-this-data-proves-it

Millennials travel overseas every '5 minutes', have 50 pairs of shoes, live on takeaway food, get divorced, have the latest version of everything. Spend, spend, spend.
Boomers never went anywhere, saved hard to buy homes, drove old cars, stayed married forever, had old tvs if had tv at all, had old furniture...etc etc etc.
Millennials cheer for massive immigration, then complain they can't get well-paying jobs.

Dude. This is what YOU did.

I’m a boomer and I’m heading to Cancun week after next.

My 34 year old daughter bought a house last year...

You’re just a miserable mahfucka. No wonder Ms. Bambu travels the world without you. Probably came to the USA to get some wood.

Firewood to put in a heater!  lol

And when you were 28?
Did you travel the world then?
Were you spending up big then?  or were you working hard, saving every penny to get a car, get a home, moving in and sitting on boxes, going without lunch for 2 days before payday to save, commuting and not living in an apartment "overlooking Central Park"?

Millennials need to get in line for the assets/wealth, work hard, save for decades...like boomers had to do.
Many millennials seem to be in a hurry for their parents to die so they get their hands on the 'money'
Many seem to be in a hurry to have their parents sell their homes and move into retirement communities, so there's lots of spare money.
Others seem to be using the boomers' grandchildren as pawns to have them bend to their will.

'Gran Torino' but one example.

American jobs are getting worse, new economic index shows

Quote
Although the U.S. is on a record streak for job-creation, many Americans still feel like they can't get ahead — it's not their imagination. The last three decades have seen the economy churn out more and more jobs that offer inadequate pay, a group of researchers found.

"The history of private-sector employment in the U.S. over the past three decades is one of overall degradation in the ability of many American jobs to support households — even those with multiple jobholders," they wrote.

"There aren't enough 'good jobs' to go around," the Brookings Institution proclaimed earlier this month, when it released a report that found 44% of all workers are low-wage workers. These workers make a median pay of just $18,000 a year.

As Howard Johnson & Gravity put it a while back -- It's Getting Harder To Survive.

Demanding black folks save white America from itself is getting old.

If Democrats acted like the voting bloc that routinely delivers 85-90% of their vote to Dems warranted their attention rather than chasing the mythical unicorn of the Midwest WWC they’d win more consistently.

Getting the idea that all the good Trump has done for US international relations will be continued - now that the tone has been set - even if Dems should win in 2020.  Surely they won't wish to go backwards.

It would be nice if Trump and his Trumpists reserved such combative language for countries that actually attacked us, not our allies.

But for some reason Russia gets nothing but hugs and kisses from our "president."

That's a funny way to say "The damage Trump has done will outlast his administration."

Yes, the US will be seen for some time by our allies as unpredictable and unreliable and chaotic. A country with an electorate capable of electing a Trump once could do it again.  We may not ever live that down.

Go after every group.
DEM economics and social policies are popular.
Turnout is key.
Target women, target youth, target the elderly, target workers.
Blacks, Asians, Hispanics, Jews, Muslims and atheists.
The more people who are registered, and the more who vote is best for the Dems.
Get that word out.

The goal shouldn't be just to remove Trump, but to win the Senate and enact real progressive legislation.

Trump took the opportunity to once again slam Obama today when discussing ISIS fighters.   Each time it has its positive effect (toward Republican side) on undecided voters - and Trump's off the cuff timing is beautiful.
