Brits are slowly taking back their country.

Taking it back to the thirteenth century. Plagues and witch-hunts for all but the Scotts, who are splitting off to join the EU.

Impeachment the best thing that could have happened to Trump!

Best thing about the British election is that Scotland is on the road to independence.  And will finally get to stop hearing about Brexit (and British politics), at least after another year or more of actually brexiting ...

Dems have proved trump can’t keep any part of his oath of office and should be immediately shit-canned. That’s what impeachment is about. It’s not a criminal matter. It’s an HR issue.

Republicans have proven themselves both rabidly dishonest and dishonestly rabid and more importantly altogether unelectable and unable to govern.

Fair and honest elections are a fundamental concern of democracy.
Trump has undermined that in two election cycles.
Using public office for personal gain is unacceptable.
Another Trump fail.

Impeachment is the stain warranted for such abuses.
Simply, Trump should have followed the rules and acted more presidential.  No one to blame except himself and his penchant for rule-breaking, cheating, dishonesty, fraud.

So here we are on the Eve of Impeachment after a 22 month democrat vendetta against Trump(admitted to today by Speaker) Pelosi).

And what do the democrats have?

Nothing.

No Crime.

Not even a violation of a Statute.

Just a festering resentment that Trump was elected by deplorables and is therefore illegitimate.

But, guess what?

The Impeachment talk has convinced no one. In fact there is strong evidence that Pelosi can’t deliver a unanimous vote from her own House Caucus.

Hence her need to throw last minute political gifts to vulnerable members in red state districts.

This is not going to end well for the dems.

Boy, you sure are whistling loudly as you pass that graveyard.

Violations of his oath of office are impeachable, dim bulb, and boy did he.

Or as every moderate GOP ex-official (who is not therefore beholden to the White House) has said, this is gross conduct and the man should be impeached.

But you just keep pretending that obstruction is not impeachable. And pretend that he did not abuse the power of his office.

That's all it is with you is pretense.

Lie, deny, and obfuscate, just like Putin's Puppet in the White House.

Corps pay a minimum of 15% on profits.
No more zeroing out taxes.
That'd raise quite a few pennies.

You mean take away all the tax breaks Amazon gets, I take it ("Amazon pays ZERO!!!")

How would that change their company - and other companies approach to what they do?

Why do you think Amazon should make $12 Billion/year while reaping the benefits of a federally funded workforce, federally funded infrastructure, federally funded security, etc without paying anything for that?

You have to pay to reap those benefits, kiidcarter8. Why doesn't Amazon?

Their tax is offset.

Pretty sure when he said "won't end well" he didnt mean the House vote to impeach wouldnt succeed.

Good thread on the damage Trump's appeasement of Erdogan has done in just the last week:

https://twitter.com/brett_mcgurk/status/1205192716721639426

We only watch the news for the big stuff, but all of this matters.  Trump is aligning the US with bad actors (Erdogan far from the only case) and its very likely he is doing it at least in part for his personal financial benefit.

Yes.  Agreements have been made to pay Trump after he leaves office.  Tens of millions.  Off shore account.

Both votes fail to cover the spread.

If you got that "spread" from a bookie that expected a Republican on the committee to vote for an impeachment article then he or she knows even less about politics than you do.
