There were only a few people and a few donkeys back then.

Judging from your posts, and the internet activity generally, the ass population must have exploded.

LOL

It's true though.
Today we live in a completely different world.

The words on the Supreme Court building mean nothing, obviously don't apply today.
Black Aussie model had a trial, stood before the American judge for sentencing, her fate was delivered.
She was obeying her sentence, but was arrested and tossed in prison by the US Immigration dept [US govt], although possessing a proper and valid visa.
Gee they must hate her.
As Iran obviously hates the White Aussie academic woman.
The words on the Statue of Liberty are from a time long ago, don't apply today.

Today terrorists are hiding behind 'every' tree, on 'every' bridge,

I find very little sympathy for prospective anchor babies among the US born poor and disadvantaged. The losing liberal elitist argument is that tens of millions of illegals do not exacerbate homelessness or strain social services? Does America really need cheap nannies, under scale laborers, drug dealers, and sex slaves?

But anchor babies of the rich are just fine, right?

We can’t worship the child in the manger while turning our backs on the child at the border...

Aren't they allowed in after being legally processed?

You are such a tool.

The government has been doing what it can to prevent legal asylum applications, then it's been breaking the law by telling them they have hearing dates when they don't.

Meanwhile, it stole thousands of children and, last I heard, still had hundreds they had failed to reunite with their parents because they intentionally neglected to keep tracking information and you ask "aren't they allowed in after being legally processed," as if that were the key issue in play.

Asshole.

The Beautiful Poetry of Donald Trump
by Rob Sears (Canongate)

Similar to Dumpty, but less authored. Whereas Lithgow wrote all the poems in Dumpty himself, this is a collection of Trump’s own lines from speeches and tweets that have been reordered into poems, feeding his most repeated themes into a mincer until they become declarations of vulnerability. What’s remarkable is that every line in every poem is directly attributed to its source. So the poem “I too have a nuclear button / My greatest source of pride and joy / It is a much bigger button and more powerful than his / Constructed with American Steel / And my button works! / No, sir. You wouldn’t want to play nuclear weapons with this fucker” is pulled from two 2013 tweets, a Bloomberg interview and a campaign speech. Impressive.

So you say. Got any evidence to counter this? The Administration knew this was a problem and went ahead and did it. How, then, does it not qualify as their intentionally neglecting to keep track?!

Reports by the DHS Office of Inspector General and the Government Accountability
Office (GAO) found that the Trump Administration conducted these separations with no plans to
track separated children, made false statements about the ability to track these children and
reunite families, and failed to plan for an influx of children into ORR custody despite warnings
from agency officials.1

Further, the Administration denied that it had been separating children prior to the "zero tolerance policy," but that was a lie and how many kids were separated, while in the thousands, is still unknown.

Quote
The administration outlined its position in a court-ordered response to a government watchdog report last month that found many more migrant children may have been split from their families than previously reported. The government didn't adequately track separated children before a federal judge in San Diego ruled in June that children in its custody be reunited with their parents.
...
Ann Maxwell, Health and Human Services' assistant inspector general for evaluations, said last month that the number of separated children was certainly larger than the 2,737 listed by the government in court documents. The department's inspector general report didn't have a precise count, but Maxwell said staff estimated it to be in the thousands.

"The Trump administration's response is a shocking concession that it can't easily find thousands of children it ripped from parents, and doesn't even think it's worth the time to locate each of them," said Lee Gelernt, the lead ACLU attorney.

Kid, it works like this:

You propose a policy. Somebody informs you that the policy you have proposed won't work for (reasons).

When you decide to execute the policy anyway, that constitutes having intentionally neglected to keep tracking information. They wanted to ship the kids off, scattering them around the country more than they wanted to be responsible with the kids' lives.

And you keep defending their illegal, immoral behavior.

Still.

https://www.rollcall.com/news/congress/ig-dhs-knew-couldnt-track-migrant-kids-separated-border

Inspector General's report, last month:
Quote
The Department of Homeland Security knew it lacked the technology to track more than 26,000 children it expected to separate from their parents at the U.S. southern border in 2018 as part of its controversial “zero tolerance” policy. As a result, the roughly 3,000-plus children DHS ultimately estimated as being affected may actually be a severe underestimate, the agency’s inspector general reported Wednesday.

“Because of these IT deficiencies, we could not confirm the total number of families DHS separated during the Zero Tolerance period,” the watchdog office said in a report.

The inspector general found an additional 1,369 potential family relationships that U.S. Customs and Border Protection failed to log and concluded there was a “high risk that DHS did not account for all separated children.”
...
But DHS did not have the required technology or procedures in place to track the families it separated, the inspector general reports. Agency officials first became aware of these issues in 2017 — but did not fully remedy them. One senior CBP official told IG investigators that “key stakeholders had pressured DHS to implement the policy in May” before data and procedural issues had been fixed.

Once the policy went into effect, CBP officials logged separations in an existing database in an ad-hoc manner without the ability to properly document details of “zero tolerance” cases separately from the others. The IG report noted that in one case, an Arizona-based nonprofit had inquired about a deaf minor who had been separated from his father, but the child’s case record did not contain details of his separation or disability.
...
Around 82 percent of the adults separated from their children ultimately got minimal or no jail time, and promptly returned to CBP custody. Yet, in 2,000 cases in which parents returned with time-served sentences, or without being prosecuted at all, CBP did not immediately reunite them with their children.

Kid thinks Christianity is a religion about human sacrifice and worshiping false idols. Trump ends or endangers more more human lives than any modern president and demands worship of the most false idol, himself, so in Kid’s eyes trump is on his way to being a most Christian king, like Carlos the Sufferer of Spain or James the Second of England.

Kid is just flabbergasted that more of the peasants haven’t gotten in line behind his anointed ruler.

Really the DEMS should have mentioned W Bush every chance they got.  The Bush Depression.  Crashing the economy.  The unnecessary and illegal Iraq War.  The blood and treasure wasted in Iraq and how Bush turned Iraq into an Iranian proxy.  The rise of ISIS, etc.

It's hard to do worse as a president than to have a huge economic crash and near-Depression coupled with a ruinous war.  Bush managed that feat and was completely forgotten about.  The GOP of course wanted to have W amnesia, but the Dems should have been reminding the American public constantly.  W should have ensured there wouldn't be another GOP president for a generation.

Instead, we get Trump 8 years later and he goes right on and does the same tax cut blunder that W started off with.  Nary a word about how awful the Bush tax cuts worked out.  The Dems are terrible about messaging and sustained narratives.  Which is about all the GOP is good at, no matter how distorted.
