Separate from my other comment is this: The shooter had 6 seconds before the Church security team took him down. The only reason it was only two deaths (plus shooter) is that he was using a shotgun, not a semi-automatic rifle. It could easily have been 5 had the man had an AR-15 or far worse had he had a bump stock.

He also may have been targeting the 2nd victim.

Either way, the churchgoers got lucky, except for those first two.

Anti-Semitism seems to be one of the sad and tragic symptoms of a general regression, in a society, towards tribalism and towards an information poverty where the ignorant can be fed a bunch of myths about "the other."  Once these myths catch on the emotional gears of a person who needs a place to dump social blame, you get entrenched prejudice and marching morons shouting "Jews will not replace us!"  You have to be almost pathologically information-poor to conceive of a small ethnic/religious minority (what, somewhere between 1-2 percent of the US population?) as on the verge of replacing you.  I'm not even sure what that phrase means, beyond a sort of vague phobic response to someone else's success.  Nor do I fully understand why Jewish wealth = conspiracy and global Marxism, while white Christian wealth (e.g. Buffett) = philanthropy and the splendor of free market economics.  It seems so deeply irrational that it's hard for me to understand how any sane person could arrive at such prejudices.  But, as I've said, if you have a vacuum in your head then just about anything can rush in to fill it.
