Prime Minister Scott Morrison has hastily left a meeting with bushfire victims in the town of Cobargo after angry residents began yelling furiously.
Mr Morrison was touring the devastated region after fire tore through the township on Monday night, tragically killing a father and son.
After taking snaps with a few locals, Mr Morrison was ushered into a waiting car after locals began yelling their disapproval of the PM.

Brilliant, abuse the guy with the key to the federal treasure chest. lol

"You won't be getting any votes down here buddy," one resident can be heard yelling.
"Who votes Liberal [Conservative] around here? Nobody."

Another can be heard referring to the recent Sydney Harbour New Year's Eve fireworks display, which the PM watched from his government residence at Kirribilli.

"Go home to Kirribilli. Why won't that burn down?" another local yelled.
"I don't see Kirribilli burning after the fireworks."

Dow 14 points shy of 29,000!

Stocks Set New Highs to Start 2020
Stocks around the world rallied to start 2020 after China said it would take an additional step to reinvigorate the world’s second-biggest economy.
per the WaPo: "While the stock market has performed well under Trump, it is not an unprecedented performance. Trump's stock market returns still lag behind Obama and Clinton at this point in their first terms.

The Dow Jones industrial average has gained about 45 percent since Trump was sworn in nearly three years ago. The Dow was up about 53 percent at this point in Obama's presidency and a whopping 57 percent in Clinton's early years in office."

So, congratulations for the market doing almost as good as it.did under Clinton and Obama.

Also, this just in: Trump remains impeached.

The refugees are your fellow citizens who have had their entire lives disrupted by disaster and they should kiss the PM’s ass?

Not his fault.
It's not, it's really not.

He said he understands why they're angry, that they're devasted.

He arrived, they abused him, and made it political.
Doesn't look like they're walking everywhere, maybe they're driving vehicles that contribute to CO2 in the atmosphere.
He didn't start the fires.
He's not responsible for climate change, the drought, the non-clearing of firebreaks around towns.

They're yelling at the wrong person.
Which is the best way to get themselves no extra help.
Misguided.

Trouble is...the climate change brigade no-ideas want everything changed now.
Want ScoMo to wave a magic wand and change everything to renewables, now....ban all coal now, and all coal and fossil fuel exports now. Change to electric cars now. Power the nation on wind and solar now....or so close to now it's the same thing.

They can do what they like, shake his hand and explain their circumstances, or abuse him...free country.
They just have to live with the results of their actions...'personal responsibility'.

Dead tree on your farm? Dead tree that's fallen over, on your farm...the usual suspects had it made so that if you cut them up for firewood for your heating in below zero nights, you get into big trouble, big fines. 'There could be a little bird living in that log/dead tree".
Yes, and snakes and lamb-killing foxes!

There'll be so many trees knocked over for land clearing on farms and around towns after this fire drama that there'll be enough firewood for 100 years.
Things will change.
Promises are being made that these fire result outrages will never be allowed to happen again.

Big court case tomorrow about Don McGahn, new documents released tonight concerning Mueller report 302s and unredacted emails between WH, OMB and pentagon say Trump did the shakedown on Ukraine despite everyone around him yelling NO!

Australia takes a large number of refugees per capita from UN camps each year.

In 2015, Australia was 66th in the world per capita, with 48 of the countries ahead of it taking in more than double, up to more than 10 times Australia's "large" number. (Mind you, the US was about 60% of Australia's figure!)

It's still nowhere near the top in 2018-19.
