The US already left Iraq once and was invited back in to fight ISIS and train the Iraqi military.
A misrepresentation of actual events.
Obama pulled out US Troops in 2011 and used the phrase “ the tide of war is receding” during his re-election campaign.
While we were gone the Islamic State grew in Iraq and Obama HAD to return the troops lest the jihadists take over Baghdad. Obama’s blunder was trying to appease Iran and it was certainly a big mistake.

Uh, W Bush agreed on a US withdrawal because Iraq was no longer willing to give US troops immunity for any atrocities and crimes they committed in Iraq.  The withdrawal was completed under O.

O returned US troops to Iraq at the invitation of the gov't after the army collapsed mostly without a fight in the North.

There was no appeasement of Iran in the withdrawal that W Bush agreed to and Obama implemented.
Spin it any way that makes you feel better.
The decision to pull troops out of Iraq in 2011 was a disastrous one and only fueled Iranian meddling to the point Obama had to send troops back.
Iran meddling? Iran has nothing to do with ISIS. ISIS, like al Qaeda, is radical Sunni.

Shiite militias are armed by Iran whose  strategic goal is making Iraq its political and military subsidiary.
Quote
And the date of the pull out was based on the terminal date from the SoFA negotiated by Bush. Iraq was not willing to negotiate a new one.
LOL. Obama was hell bent on winning re-election, not in keeping jihadists out of Bahgdad much to the delight of Iran.
Shiite militias are not what drew us back into Iraq. But if you are concerned with Iraq becoming a client state of Iran, congratulations! Our amateur President has just gone a long way to making that happen.

And it was polite of Bush to negotiate a terminal date for the SoFA that coincided with Obama's reelection plan! I note you do not, and cannot, dispute the underlying facts: Bush negotiated the date, and Iraq would not renegotiate it.
No. Obama was more than happy to use that as an excuse.
And it backfired.

Ward, in hindsight only, thinks we should have stayed in Iraq, even though they told us not to. He likely applauds Trump's stated intention of taking oil from Iraq to "pay us" for our services.

I'm happy that US troops will be leaving Iraq...too many have died and been maimed for live in Middle East/Afghan wars.
No more.

25 million people in Iraq, they should be made fight for their own freedom now or perish.

All the US troops leaving Iraq could come to Australia instead, and build US missile, US military [incl naval[ bases.
Iraq doesn't want the US troops, Aussie will gladly have them.

Tony just wants the best for everyone in the world...as does 'Gracie Hart' of the FBI...'world peace'.
You, though I have no doubt about. You are a total idiot.

Nothing wrong with wanting and demanding 'world peace', it is a noble ideal.
Don't you want the best for all the good people in the world?

In case you missed this;
The (London)Observer

A secret report, suppressed by US defence chiefs and obtained by The Observer, warns that major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a ‘Siberian’ climate by 2020. Nuclear conflict, mega-droughts, famine and widespread rioting will erupt across the world. .
You
Climate change ‘should be elevated beyond a scientific debate to a US national security concern’, say the authors, Peter Schwartz, CIA consultant and former head of planning at Royal Dutch/Shell Group...

It's what happens when non-scientists try to assemble data and global climate models and turn it into a dramatic narrative that will get attention.

Oh.
Just FAKE NEWS? From a leftist rag in London?
The Observer is the sister newspaper of the Guardian which you frequently cite.
I guess we need to be more discerning when reading your posts.

No,  you need to bring critical thinking when you read scientific articles in ANY popular media outlet.   I cite The Guardian when, and only when,  I think their sourcing and reportage is good.   For science news,  I tend to cite peer reviewed professional journals e.g. Nature,   SciAm,  Cell,  PLOS one,  NAS proceedings,  etc.  Or newspapers that use those primary sources.

You are a total idiot. That is a separate issue.

You demonstrably do not want the best for all the good people of the world. Just white Christians, preferably armed white Chistians barricaded in their basements in oh say, Perth.

Having Iran's nuke program in abeyance for a decade or whatever and engaging with them and rebuilding their economy -- O's approach, might have worked quite well.  Iran would have been tied into the world economy.  Something like 50% of their population is under 30.  The youth of Iran has risen up in abortive moments, reformists opposed by the religious establishment frequently win elections, and the theocratic system has appeared increasingly shaky.  Short term this helps the mullahs rally the country and reassert control.  Long term, I agree with Yogi Berra ...

Americans never understand nationalism unless it’s our own.

Iran considers targeting trump properties.

The first President who’s been susceptible to this in modern history, if he’s still that sane.

I dont deny either.
But both are moot.
Obama held the cards for negotiations.
He preferred focusing on reelection and before long we were back in Iraq cleaning up his mistake.

So Red, aside from the sourcing and opinions, just like everything else you write or reference.

Bambi, you are welcome for the services of our hippie firemen from the granola coast and our brown skinned immigrant chef.
