The first one is simple: This is the Senate's job to do!
That’s what it is doing.

McConnell’s “let the people decide” stance didn’t go so far as to stand behind US intelligence agencies’ pre-2016 election assessment that Russia was running ops to elect the guy with the development proposal he signed in explicit partnership with a sanctioned Russian state bank.

Letting the people decide meant doing everything in his power to make sure most voters didn’t know that.

Anytime the president’s councils cite “evidence” in the wacky mockery of a defense they’re about to put up or in a hallway gaggle, a patriotic angel pounds a nail into the coffin of the trump administration.

House managers are giving a captivating presentation of a rock solid case.

Last I heard,  King caucuses with crats, and so is "independent" the way Bernie is.   I would have thought he was already pretty aware of Trump's breaches of the public trust and duties of office.   Maine should kick his wishy-washy ass out of the Senate if he really can't vote to remove.

I was surprised by his position and hope that he shifts.

George W. Bush gave money to the churches and to the charities to feed the homeless and to help the needy, and those were good programs. He gave money to the charities that are already out there set up and which are already helping people. And I met a lady who went to Washington D.C. and received sixty million dollars to help the mentally ill in Orange County, she got the money during the W. years. And of course the Catholic church feeds the homeless and the poor here in Anaheim, and that was the kind of stuff that W. supported.

And the food stamp program is a good program that is needed, and also the government cheese was a good program (I think they brought it back).

We also need programs to make sure that our students can eat, including in college, and in acting school and film school, etc. The price of getting training and learning should not be starving to death. We need to make sure that our students can eat.

Salute,

Tony V.

Mr Weinstein’s lawyers maintain that the women willingly had sex with him to advance their careers, and that some of them continued intimate relationships with him after the alleged attacks.

#####

Evidence, proper evidence, should have to be produced to prove accusations of criminal behaviour.
Eyewitness, forensic evidence, CCTV, police report at the time...something 'concrete'.

'She says' is just not good enough, or should not be.

Once upon a time, prosecutors had to prove a crime had been committed.

Use your fucking head, Bambi, instead of kneejerk defending the men.

I did, and came to the conclusion that proper evidence must be presented in court by the prosecution to prove the criminal guilt of the accused.
"She says" is not good enough for bambu-ilk, ...or "He says/they say"...

No matter how this plays out, Schiff has been spectacular in his recall, preparation, grasp of facts, and presenting them in a compelling narrative of presidential guilt.

He rhetorical eloquence is impressive.

whether he will find 4 honest and courageous Republicans is problematic but he is democracy's hero.
