Speaking of Trump, the military, and atrocities... he's preparing to roll back restrictions on the use of landmines.

I look forward to Kid, Luee, and Bambi explaining why this is somehow good for the US.

The US has not procured new landmine systems since the early 2000s and the Pentagon plans to modernize as the current inventory ages and requires replacement in about ten years' time.

With the self-destruct and self-deactivate features included, the Pentagon says the statistical chance of a US landmine being operational after 120 days is six in one million.

The last time the US military used landmines during a conflict was during the first Gulf War in 1991 when Gator landmines were dropped by US aircraft to limit the movement of Saddam Hussein's inventory of Scud missiles.
