Opinion | In Private, Republicans Admit They Acquitted Trump Out of Fear
One journalist remarked to me, “How in the world can these senators walk around here upright when they have no backbone?”
LOL!

It's a laugh riot, for sure.

Senators afraid of retribution from the mob boss-in-chief.

Ha. Ha. Ha.

So fucking funny.

You're pathetic, Ward.

And now we know it was not the Iowa Democratic Party's incompetence that made getting through to them so hard.

It was enemy action.

Again.

Quote
“I have found, in business in particular but also in politics, that when something is in your personal best interests, the ability of the mind to rationalize that that’s the right thing is really quite extraordinary,” Mr. Romney said. “I have seen it in others, and I have seen it in myself.”
~Mitt Romney

I am as moved as many folks have been by Mitt Romney's statements surrounding his decision-making about the vote to convict or acquit President Trump.

It's not a profound discovery from a social psychology perspective. We've known this for a long time.

But it is a profound statement from Romney at this time, in this circumstance.

ROFL!

Red still shitting his pants because the leaders in this country are all women since Obama stepped down. He’s afraid one day a woman will grab him by his hair piece and drag him kicking and screaming out of the 12th century.

Too bad Rom couldn't get Collins & Murk on board.   Would be nice to have had 50 or more vote to remove Trump.   Of course Utah doesn't like sleazy Trump,  while it'd probably be the end of Collins & Murkowskis political careers.   Romney has rock solid support in a red state that dislikes Trump.   Kind of a rare alignment allowing him to be a renegade.   Positions him nicely as an establishment stalwart if Trump loses.

The Bloomberg Gambit: presumed frontrunner Bidden stumbles around and his money dries up.   Mayor Pete becomes a weak moderate leader.  Sanders & Warren continue to split the progressive vote for a while longer.   So no real frontrunner,  a weak moderate leader,  the left split,  Bloomberg steps in as a fresh face with big name recognition,  tons of money,  etc.

Political inside straight ...

Bloomberg reportedly worth $60B.  Why not spend $1B to try to be freakin' president?!

Buttigieg And Sanders Lead After First Batches Of Iowa Results Are Released

The state party has released 97% of the results. It's not clear when the full totals will be made public.

Looks like almost a dead heat in current delegate numbers.  Both can claim some sort of victory in a state which poorly represents the modern Party demographics.  A lot of the news lately seems to be non-news.  Trump acquitted, 103 year old actor dies, Pennsylvania rodent receives annual ritual of torment, Andrew Yang insists he's getting somewhere, Trump pins medal on a retarded sociopath, etc.

Hi, Redward.  Personal life and what's happening in the world can be two different things....

The great American jobs boom continued at small companies in January, with more hiring and rising wages. That’s according to the latest employment survey from the National Federation of Independent Business, due out later today.

NFIB Chief Economist William Dunkelberg shares the good news via email: “Job creation jumped in January, with an average addition of 0.49 workers per firm, the highest level since March 2019, rebounding back into strong territory.”

Finding qualified workers remains the biggest business problem for 26% of the small-business owners surveyed. This reading is just one percentage point below the record high set in August.
