Josh

You show your weakness when saying "racist" or "racism".

You show your racism even more when you whine about the use of the terms racist and racism.

From 2017:
Supreme Court finds racial bias in North Carolina's congressional maps

Or, as already posted at least twice today:
Quote
The analysis finds that the 50 counties that gained the most Black and Latinx residents between 2012 and 2018 closed 542 polling sites, compared to just 34 closures in the 50 counties that have gained the fewest black and Latinx residents. This is despite the fact that the population in the former group of counties has risen by 2.5 million people, whereas in the latter category the total population has fallen by over 13,000.

Racism, Kid.

YOU support it.

WARD supports it.

And you both weakly deny it and you pretend that it is my weakness to point out your bigotry.

Not my fault you are a bigot. And the only thing that would be weak for me to do hear is to roll over when you make your lame ass accusation.

You still think posting such idiocy bothers me

I just laugh at you.

No, Kid.

I understand you feel no shame in your bigotry.

And I understand that you like being a troll.

The shame is that it does not bother you in the slightest. You don't in fact give a fuck of people are disenfranchised, as long as it is not YOU and as long as you get yours.

You fit right in with your lying, cheating, racist party "leaders."

No news. No expectation that it will bother you in the slightest.

And if millions die because of Trump, so long as you are not inconvenienced, that's okay with you, too.

Got it.

If Kid and Ward had bothered to read the Guardian article...

Quote
A Guardian analysis based on that report confirms what many activists have suspected: the places where the black and Latinx population is growing by the largest numbers have experienced the vast majority of the state’s poll site closures.

The analysis finds that the 50 counties that gained the most Black and Latinx residents between 2012 and 2018 closed 542 polling sites, compared to just 34 closures in the 50 counties that have gained the fewest black and Latinx residents. Pretty clear what's going down,  given the bolded section.   As Larry says,  what's it say about your party's policies when...
All of which is the equivalent of no relevance.
There is not one iota of evidence that any reorganization has had an effect on voter turnout nor that it will. Since elections are run by bi-partisan rulings any attempt to use the voting system to do so has an automatic veto built in for each party.

More shit spewed from the denialist.

You say "reorganization," but that's not what has happened.

You say "no evidence," but the folks who have actually researched the problem say there is evidence and that voting has been hampered by the polling place eliminations and moving.

That got linked, already, but you didn't bother to open it because it represented a viewpoint that you don't like. Facts which you wish to ignore.

Uh.
Reorganization is exactly what it was.
No evidence. ( voter turnout in 2018 in Texas was at a 50 year high.)
No, again.

Boards of election are in charge of voting and compiling the results.
The checks and balances vary from state to state but each one has its version of Bipartisanship that prevents political mischief.

And yet,  weirdly,  it hasn't stopped voter purges in places where they disproportionately removed people of color from voter rolls.   And the legislatures and state cabinets were GOP dominated.   Huh.

And also,  even weirder,  polling stations were disproportionately closed where the population had actually soared,  and was,  again,  predominantly PoC.  Huh.

And also, and this is like super mindfuckin crazy weird,  man,  but polling stations were closing like crazy in places where poor people had less access to transportation and less free time to work out complex navigation strategies.   And,  even weirder,  many of them were never informed by their election commissioners of these changes.

But,  yeah,  it's bipartisan and those are all some mindbending coincidences that have nothing to do with Republicans knowing some simple ways to lower voter turnout among people who view their policies as garbage.

No evidence. ( voter turnout in 2018 in Texas was at a 50 year high.)

Everywhere was up in 2018.

Texas went up more than the average, but they started well below average and even after the 18% increase were still the 11th lowest in the nation for voter turnout.

And you talk about the increase as if that's an absolute concept, when had there not been vote suppression, they would have gone up even more.

"Texas Had the Worst Voter Turnout in the Country" in 2014. So, yes, it went up, the same way the youth vote jumped 36% nationally in 2018, but it was because 2014 was one of the lowest ever for them.

Excuses wrapped in excrement.

States are required by Federal Law to clean up voter registration Lists that contain names of those who have failed to vote in last elections. This is not a duty of local boards of elections.

Each election board decides on the efficiency of its voting locations. Changes must be bipartisan.

What’s wierd is the statement is unverified.

LOL.
Any GOP effort to try that would be shot down in a heartbeat.

May the Texas general election increase from 2016 as much as the mid-cycle election did from 2014.

And may the 19-29 year old vote show the same increase in 2020 as they did in 2018 over 2014.

Not holding my breath.
