Turnout will be important.
Especially getting Bernie backers to vote for Biden (assuming Biden wins).
I wouldn't take any voting block for granted.
But the focus will be on WI, OH, MI, VA, FLA and secondarily NC, PA.
I haven't looked at an electoral map ina while, but there aren't that many states in play, and the midwest is key, where Trump broke through (by slim margins).

I was very disappointed with the news that Bloomberg has scaled back his plans from his prior commitment.

Quote
Bloomberg will dip into his vast fortune to pay for field offices in Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, campaign aides said on Thursday. It will be done through some type of independent expenditure committee that will not be able to coordinate with any campaign, though aides are still figuring out the legal details and what the name and budget of the organisation will be.

I don't know why he didn't include New Hampshire - I doubt it's budget!

But his emphasis almost aligns with yours, Bo, missing only VA and OH, while adding AZ to the mix. I think he sees VA as secure for the Dems if they are winning at all and OH as out of reach, compared to AZ. FL and NC have both shown they are within reach, as well.

270towin.com has AZ, WI, PA, NC, and FL as toss-up states, with MI leaning blue, but having gone red last time. I suspect the same factors that made that the default are behind his choices, though my prior thought on NH stands.

NH, NV, MN, and 1 electoral vote in ME are the other leaning blue places, each of which went blue last time. A total of 37 blue places are leaners.

GA, OH, and IA, plus 1 electoral vote in ME are the other leaning red places, each of which went red last time. A total of 41 blue places are leaners.

Besides the toss-up states mentioned above, NE's got 1 congressional district electoral vote in that category. A total of 86 EVs are in the toss-up places. The safe and likely blue places are 210 EVs. The safe and likely red places are 163 EVs.

Klobucharting a course to veep is never easy.  Klobu-Chartres wasn't built in a day.
I think she makes the most sense if you have a traditional view of politics and are ineptly trying to adapt it to today. Also, I like her.

I thought of AZ, but wasn't sure how ripe it was.  Used to be such a GOP bastion, but has changed.  Also, the way Trump treated McCain might dampen down the turnout for Trump.  TX is also drifting blueward, but probably not enough yet for this cycle.

I probably should have switched VA and NC.
NC and WI are key states.  And the Dems really need to win Michigan.
PA has been Blue but is never a sure thing.
OH and FLA are winnable too.

If I were Mexico, I would be wishing we had a wall long about now!

Mexico has had 10 cases and they have all recovered.

The US has 484 cases and 19 deaths - 9th among countries for number of cases (and that low only if we exclude the Diamond Princess), tied for 5th in deaths (again excluding the Diamnond Princess).

With the Diamond Princess, we rise to 5th in cases, and solely in 5th in deaths.

So, yes, Mexico would want a solider border!

Meanwhile, Italy's death toll went up 50% abruptly and their total cases went up 25%.

Yes,  Nebraska has its famous Blue Dot,  which is the Benson neighborhood of Omaha (and some areas of North Omaha around it).  It tips the whole District (2) into the blue.  As does the nearby Dundee neighborhood, where film director Alex Payne grew up.

Nebraska has another District (1) that may also swing to blue,  given the growth of Lincoln and its campuses, and a shift towards never-Trumpism among the area's moderates.   Sen.  Sasse sort of embodied that stance for a few months,  until he joined the GOP Festival of Cowering.

To borrow Lime's phrase,  the NE moderates have a traditional view of politics that they are ineptly trying to adapt to today.

Simple way to rid one's country of Coronavirus; [ScoMo almost got it right in the beginning, but the govt didn't go far enough.
No surprise that "racist" was being tossed around.

Simple way;  [vaccine in about 12 months].

. Seal the borders.
. Ban anyone who is outside the country now, from entering...unless they go into quarantine for 14 days.
Anyone in the country now, who has the virus already, will either pass away or recover.
Anyone who has the virus but isn't yet showing symptoms, will get the symptoms and either pass away or recover.
Say 4 weeks,...and the country will be Coronavirus free.
Compensate industries that need to be compensated.

Build quarantine tent cities if necessary.

Your compassion continues to be astounding.

But also... you didn't announce that you would have everybody in the country under quarantine for those 4 weeks.

If you wouldn't, then your plan saves nobody in particular. If you would, I will await your explanation for how you will keep folks abed.

At this stage only 70 0r 80 people in Australia have the virus.
They would continue to be treated in hospital.

Many are self-isolating at home, …[staff of a doctor who flew back from America with flu-like symptoms [he says 'a cold'] then last week continued to treat 70 patients at his clinic]….for example.
A student at a high school [whole school is now closed], the son of a uni lecturer who tested positive, has tested positive and is being treated.

Most of the cases are of people flying in from somewhere else, ..Iran, Asia etc.
Total travel bans from overseas countries there should be...not just Iran, South Korea, China like there are now.

Close the borders, treat in hospital anyone who tests positive, isolate at home anyone showing symptoms or who is suspected might have the virus.
Eventually it will be no more.
What's being done now is not enough.

Trying to win the LADT election is the same mistake military strategists make when they plan for the last war.

The GOP is gonna have to spend in the South because it’s no longer safe territory.

More thoughts on Bernie Sanders.
Maybe he doesn’t really want to win the nomination.

After all Hilary still bitches that Trump killed her chances by beating her up on the emails. But Bernie avoided that issue in the 2016 nomination battle.

This year when Bernie was thought to be on the inside track to the nomination he praises Fidel Castro’s Cuba?

Now that the party billionaires are buying off everyone left standing to support Joe Bernie tells Rachel Maddow he will not put up a fight at the Convention if he is not leading in the delegate count.

Maybe Bernie wants his Henry Clay moment.

That way he can continue to fly around(on private jets) extolling the virtues of Socialism( which don’t exist) to make more money that his wife can funnel into buying his next book so Bernie can buy another house, (ahem) Summer Camp.

Bernie rails against the rich.
Except himself.

About half our statewide offices are in Democratic hands, as of 2018, but none of them were in 2017. So far, McSurley is running on her opponent supporting "overturning the 2016 election" [sic] and not hating Sanders, while he is running on I have been in space. I eagerly await moving to the next step: "Mark Kelly wore a pink tutu" and "My wife got shot."
