Thanks Bo! Your posts about China are great.
Here is a great website that has a rundown about what is happening here in Anaheim...
https://www.anaheim.net/5454/Tracking-Coronavirus-Anaheim-ReadyPeople are scared, but we are looking to each other for comfort, and people are trying to look at it as being like a 2 week vacation, but if it lasts longer than 2 weeks then people are worried that they are going to start losing everything that they have. People are living pay-check to pay-check, and no one has enough money saved to last for two months, they might be able to make it for 2 weeks.
So, we need to get more money into people's wallets. The government wants to give $1,000.00 to every American, and that would help. People also need rent forgiveness, and of course no one can be evicted during an emergency.
The stores are still open, and we have food on the shelves. The senior citizens are allowed to shop an hour early, before the general public.
But, no one has toilet paper. People are buying up all of the toilet paper, and they are not leaving any for other people. Some restaurants are delivering toilet paper with the food delivery, and this will attract customers I am sure. Also, the schools can give each student a roll of toilet paper with their grab and go lunches. And we can import toilet paper and other goods from Mexico, so we need to keep our Southern Border open for goods.
And I am trying to build my immune system, I am eating lots of oranges, and also garlic builds my immunity. I still ride my bicycle everyday, so I get exercise. The stores still have food so I am not going hungry, and we can order food and we can have it delivered, and the food bank will bring me a box of food if I run out of food, we just need to get the food banks to include toilet paper.
The young people are ordering food on their cell phones and they are watching Netflix, as long as we keep the food coming in, and other needed supplies, then we should be able to survive this crisis.
I wish you the best, and I wish the best for Shanghai, we will be fine here in Anaheim.
Salute,
Tony V.
