Not one fucking dime.   One of the most polluting forms of transport,  treats customers like garbage,  schedules sleep-destroying brain-rotting hours for its most skilled workers,  and serves as a giant conveyor belt of money to executives who are already filthy rich.   They can melt all those jets down and use the alloy metal to make high-speed railcars and oceanic hovercraft AFAIC.
That’s the spirit.
I can explain it to you.
But I can’t understand it for you.

How much of their own stock have they purchased?
There is nothing wrong with stock buy backs.
But they won’t be permitted under the current stimulus bill so what, if any, is your point?

If you have to ask you’re a dumb fuvk.

Numbers

99% of deaths in Europe are over 50 with preexisting conditions.  Majority of deaths in Italy have 3 or more preexisting conditions

No child under 15 has died in Europe (one in China was 14)
Yeah, fuck those 59 year old overweight men with diabetes. As long.as the kids keep living.
Pretty much Nancy Pelosi’s strategy with support of her boy toy Schumer.
As despicable as Harry Reid was he would never have stood for the rape of American workers as Pelosi/Schumer propose.

Red’s meth chef has broken his self-quarantine.

Nothing says rapist like setting up a slush fund. Do you think $130K will work this time?

If so, what’s the other 1/2 billion for?

Trump is trying to copy Bibi’s coup.

Two coots at least who need to be planted to appease the pestilence gods.

Explaining "randomized clinical trials" to some people,  or why health professionals don't  rush to sing hosannas to chloroquine, is like explaining hedge funds to my cat.   Unless our education system figures out how to make "correlation is not causation" as core as the ABCs, I guess this will be a problem.

A tale of two houses,

Unsurprisingly, the House has a much better bill.

New record highs for the US in deaths in a day and new cases added. (If it were only the additional testing that led to the additional cases, we would not have the additional deaths. More's the pity.)

We are third in the world in cases, but still 'only' 6th in deaths. Nor does it seem like we are going to move higher as everybody above us is losing more people daily than we are, except China! OTOH, there is a distinct chance that we will catch Italy for 2nd in cases before much of April has passed.

The figure that gives me pause is our ever growing number of serious/critical cases. It jumped by a third (245) and those are the folks who are at most risk of dying.

Oh, right - current news! This was linked by somebody earlier, but it seems you missed it:

Quote
Banner Health officials say the man who died, along with his wife, both took chloroquine phosphate. The man's wife, who was also in her 60s, is currently under critical care.

Officials say both were taken to a Banner Health hospital for immediate treatment, after they experienced immediate effects within 30 minutes of taking the substance.

"Most patients who become infected with COVID-19 will only require symptomatic care and self-isolation to prevent the risk of infecting others," read a portion of the statement. "The routine use of specific treatments, including medications described as ‘anti-COVID-19’, is not recommended for non-hospitalized patients, including the anti-malarial drug chloroquine."

Current news, was it?

You can read it yourselves. The WaPo has made it free for you.

Trump says he may soon push businesses to reopen, defying the advice of coronavirus experts

“America will again and soon be open for business — very soon,” Trump said at the daily White House news conference. “We cannot let the cure be worse than the problem itself.”

You dont need the WaPo if you watch the updates from the task force.

Any update on why Fauci was missing?  May have had a low fever, as Birks said she had over the weekend when she skipped a couple pressers.

heh

Its not about his use of chloroquine.  Its chugging it that likely killed him.  I knew someone would tie it to the thought process that the drug isnt safe.

And I wasn't disappointed.

What did he win, Mod?
