Pastor Spell of Louisiana joins his fellow religious "leader" in Florida. He, too, was arrested for refusing the heed the law - insisting he is breaking no laws by running his 1,000 person services (and busing many of the attendees in!).

He believes the pandemic is "politically motivated."

20% more new cases on Tuesday than Monday in the US.
40% more new deaths.

The US is 3rd in total deaths, ahead of China and France. We'll likely pass 200,000 cases and 4,500 deaths on Wednesday.

The world will likely hit a million cases and 50,000 deaths on Thursday.

Strange but outside of a private island this seems to be the perfect place to sit out a pandemic. Most live lives inside their manufactured homes. Plenty of space between. Usually sunshine. There is an Aldis a few blocks down who have instituted the 6 foot space rules.  Quite a difference from the crowded bleakness of the NYC area. I really do miss Sbux and mcDs.  No sports, no concerts, schooling is all remote.  What kind of strange new life will emerge?
