Stronger words than any he used in 2016.

I doubt it will budge somewhere in the 5-10% range of them. I'm hoping it will reach the rest, rather than their just declaring "Oh, he's a sellout, too. Too bad."

There’s no real point to t-bag putting his maniac’s scrawl on any checks. All Americans know the imposter crashed the economy and helped spread the virus killing so many Of us. Another reminder of his failures to lead won’t move the needle much one way or the other.

Reportedly over 9000 Covid cases in the US are health care workers.

Some of whom haven't had access to N95 masks, some have been banned from using their own masks, some have been encouraged to use bandannas or other improv masks.

Every weekend, I've asked my parents in NJ about mask wearing, and initially they said the Costco workers weren't wearing masks, with many saying that it was because they couldn't get them.  But I think still today Costco cashiers in NJ aren't wearing masks.  They installed plexiglass barriers.  I'd want plastic barriers, masks and gloves.  And actually even under those conditions I wouldn't do such work.  Cashiers interact with too many people.

I'm not sure how payment works in the US these days.  At least most people don't use unclean money.  But it would be best if your credit card can simply be scanned or you can swipe it yourself, so no on else needs to touch your card.  In Shanghai, I pay for everything via a phone app for the past nearly 3 years.  No cash, no cards.  No contact at all.  Quite safe in these days of disease.

As for our talk about animal killing/eating, Charles Darwin, naturalist and famed scientist, would routinely eat the animals species he discovered.  And often wrote about the taste in his journals.  Seems he convinced himself that eating an animal helped him glean important information about it.

But his desire to eat odd creatures started early when in college he belonged to a Glutton's Society which was dedicated to eating exotic animals, mostly birds.  Brown owls reportedly were revolting.  On his world travels he ate puma, iguanas, insects, a giant agouti rodent he quite enjoyed, and frequently dined on Galapagos giant tortoises (he preferred fried turtle steaks).  Once on Xmas his crew cooked up an animal Darwin had been trying to capture, and mid-meal he realized this, stopped the masticating and collected all the bones and body parts he could for analysis.

That certainly adds a wrinkle to my picture of Darwin. I feel like an opportunity for a great Monty Python animation was missed there.

That is a Republican candidate for congress in the photo ignoring social distancing... and also the guy with the Proud Boys bandana, flashing the white power sign. FREDOM!

Waving Confederate flags while screaming about defending the Constitution is a bit off putting, no?

Some people, if not dogs, definitely have fleas.

So, naturalists observe, a flea
  Hath smaller fleas that on him prey;
  And these have smaller still to bite 'em;
  And so proceed ad infinitum.
  Thus every poet, in his kind,
  Is bit by him that comes behind.

- Jonathan Swift
TO A POET, WHO WOULD HAVE ME PRAISE CERTAIN BAD POETS, IMITATORS OF HIS AND MINE

You say, as I have often given tongue
In praise of what another's said or sung,
’Twere politic to do the like by these;
But was there ever dog that praised his fleas?

Gopher,  Everett?

There's some theorizing that the reason Darwin had such an active adventurous mid-twenties and then was mostly housebound the rest of his life with ill health was due to some exotic creature he ate on the Beagle trip which contained a parasite.

The guidelines, meant to speed Trump's goal of restarting a moribund economy, won't be mandatory and the ultimate decisions on how and when to open will fall to individual governors, many of whom have already extended restrictions into May.

But Trump, eager to see a return to normalcy for housebound Americans, wants to provide at least a framework for how places can reopen despite warnings from all corners that testing capacity for coronavirus is still too small.

He is planning to brief the governors of all 50 US states on the new guidelines during a 3 p.m. ET teleconference.
