Yeah...

I think you need to - before making any childish outcry on how things may have been mishandled - to actual try to imagine how tough the task is/was.

Throwing stones with a minimal amount of (or even an attempt at) understanding is impolite, incorrect and unhelpful.

At what point will you concede that Trump, et al. are rank incompetents?

Probably when I lose the ability to reason.  I don't fault those without such ability - just those that have it and refuse to even try to see how tough the task at hand was/is.

Out of the ame mouths come, "this is a NOVEL virus - we don't know day to day how it could turn" and "How could Trump not be handling this virus"?

Dealt such a ridiculously tough hand, but many think he should have turned it into a full house with no problem

Not accurate?

Likely you are at least partially right.

Then we are left with - IT'S POLITICAL.

Yeah...

I think you need to - before making any childish outcry on how things may have been mishandled - to actual try to imagine how tough the task is/was.

Throwing stones with a minimal amount of (or even an attempt at) understanding is impolite, incorrect and unhelpful.

And if any of us had done so, it would be sad, so sad.

But since we have gotten to see how so many other places have handled it, for better and worse, we can see that it could have been handled far better than it was.

For example, Kid, how difficult would it be for the President of the United States of America to say, "yes, we should have heeded the information in the daily intelligence briefings that warned us of what was coming?"

Or for POTUS to say, "Okay, yes, I did suggest that the number of cases would drop and nothing major would come of this virus. Talk about missing a projection! I haven't been that wrong since I thought the USFL would take off and I bought the NJ Generals!"

Or for Kudrow to admit that his economic "analysis" of the impact of the novel coronavirus lacked... adequate analysis..."

How many lies have we been told? Half-truths? Fabrications? How soon will those tests be available? Will they be useful when they get there?!

Is managing this big a crisis hard work?!

It sure the fuck is!

But it was made far harder by how Trump has handled it and you need to figure out how to acknowledge that, because anybody who can't admit that is "incorrect and unhelpful."

Out of the ame mouths come, "this is a NOVEL virus - we don't know day to day how it could turn" and "How could Trump not be handling this virus"?

You suffer from a complete failure to understand what you just said.

"Novel coronavirus" does not mean "behaves in totally unpredictable ways."

It means "We have not seen this specific virus before."

The pandemic behaved almost exactly the way one expects a pandemic to behave, within a few small variations. Was it faster or slower than average? Was it more contagious or less than average? Was it more fatal or less fatal than average?

But THERE WAS A MANUAL for how to handle the pandemic and this administration ignored it totally.

You lost reason about this from the outset.

You can't make this shit up.

Apparently, Tara Reade's compaint/accusation about Joe Biden aligns with a scene in a novel that her father wrote, prior to the alleged scene with Biden.

https://twitter.com/SallyAlbright/status/1255753538518515717

I'm still pretty leary of Joe wrt this accusation, but that squib sure casts the issue into a different framework!

If she’s serious, she should sue.
