CDC projection explains that 3,000 deaths per day in June is the median projection, but that 25%-75% probability range is from 750 deaths per day to 9,000 deaths per day as of June 1. Given that latter notion, 3,000 sounds pretty attractive, huh?

Did you watch Chernobyl? I think authoritarian regimes have a need both internally and externally to nurture a false image of power and competence that makes the admission of error dangerous. And authoritarian personalities as well.
