Some people are murdered for jogging while black.   How on God's green earth did these killers walk away with no charges in February, and only now,  because of the video,  is a grand jury convening?   If travesties like this can't be stopped,  there is no hope for this country as the expression of ideals of liberty and justice.   We might as well be a failed state.

Don’t worry. They’ll be tried and acquitted and their defenders will say they were overcharged.

I am with you - as are many that you despise (such as Trey Gowdy, interviewed today and asking your exact questiion)

Have you seen the video?   What exactly happened?  Was there a struggle for the gun at the car?

Here we go.

Transcripts of House Intelligence Committee interviews that have been cleared for release show top law enforcement and intelligence officials affirming they had no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia during the 2016 election, senior administration and intelligence community officials told Fox News on Wednesday.

This would align with the results of former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation — which found no evidence of illegal or criminal coordination between President Trump, the Trump campaign and Russia in 2016 — but the numerous transcribed interviews could raise further questions about committee Chairman Adam Schiff’s past statements saying that there was “direct evidence” of collusion.

Everybody denies it, but the folks it has happened to are pretty clear and the tales they tell are pretty consistent.

Speaking of denial:
https://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/report-trump-casts-doubt-on-covid-19-death-toll-believes-true-number-could-be-lower?fbclid=IwAR37XX32hfXBJArStSHy8_yz4HWjaFtHrU5Ezh7nfkUhmHuCiEMZ6by44PA

Of course, the truth is the opposite of this. Even getting away from the issue of unproven deaths at home, we have the very clear case of Florida, whose governor ordered the medical examiners to provide misleading data.

But the president wants lower numbers, just as he leaned on the FBI to report certain cases certain ways.

So what?

So Fox News is lying about what the Mueller Report said as well as likely misrepresenting what the new information says.

And Ward still wants to talk about anything but what a screw-up President Trump is.

https://www.nj.com/hudson/2020/05/when-all-else-failed-christ-hospital-doctor-turned-to-remdesivir-to-save-pregnant-union-city-womans-life.html

Quote
Patel is wary of attributing her recovery to remdesivir, though the hospital has expanded its use of the drug.

“It’s hard to tell if it was just the course of the disease, because she was still a relatively young patient, or if it was the drug itself,” he said.

Hey, a scientist! Who knew.

No doubt, if asked, he would also say that he cannot say the hydroxychloroquine + Z-pac didn't help, just that it seemed not to in the timeframe before he moved onto other medications.

Dr. Patel, who made a point of boning up on what he was doing because he was outside his knowledge base, sounds like a good man and a good doctor, both.

Thank you for the link.

George Zimmerman 2.0

2nd mention of Zimmerman here in the last two days.
Last night I watched 2/3rds of the film Richard Jewell.  And I thought how much Jewell was a Zimmerman type.  Basically a loser who wanted to be law enforcement and fit in, and overzealously harasses people once he gets a minimum of power.

And then things weirdly diverge.  Jewell actually does something good.  With his heightened sense of threat and self-importance he finds a terrorist bomb and helps disperse people saving lives, but then gets vilified as the perp.  While Zimmerman with his heightened sense of threat and self-importance starts a confrontation, kills a young man and gets praised by half the population and only vilified by the other half.

I hadn't made the connection before, but once the movie got rolling, Zimmerman was an obvious latter-day reference point/successor.
