Oh, and don't forget to embrace the BIA, always looking out for the interests of Native Americans whomever is in power over them.

Interests?  Just citizens driving on their nation's highway

I hear Sharpton wants to roadblock the FDR into Harlem.

Cutting off inbound traffic from New Jersey would be a better idea.

Unfortunately I don’t think Harlem is governed by the kind of treaty that covers the territory being discussed.

Why wasn’t your example Rudy barricading himself in down on Mott Street? It’s a whole different cheap stereotype you could have used just as falsely in the bad argument you are trying to make.

The velociraptor meme is from a very funny longer article in McSweeney's, BTW.

Glad someone's noticing what a shitshow the BIA is.   Cheyenne's best option might be a soft stop...   Just put a sheet of paper in your window with your destination, and they can wave you through without a full stop,  if you're just passing through.  Not that hard to get gas at Mobridge or Faith,  then you don't need to stop at Eagle Butte.   Protecting tribal lives shouldn't involve legal pissing contests.

I posted the McSweeney's piece earlier, but figured the image might get noticed more.

Missed the point, Kid. It's their nation's highway, not the South Dakotans'.

And I am so surprised to see you bringing up Blacks that way. Because after all, African-Americans have oh-so-much land ceded to them by the federal government by treaty, right?

Racist asshole.

Deaths today were only 750, new cases just over 20k.
b
These are both provisionally exciting.

Provisionally because (a) it's Sunday, which is consistently low, (b) 4 days ago the figure was over 2,500!, (c) the stats are suspect when we know folks like FL Gov DeSantis has instructed the medical examiners to not report all the deaths and that in other places they report selectively, as well.

Despite all that, it is the lowest count for any day of the week since March 29th! That's either deaths or new cases.

We'll see what the week ahead brings. In the unlikely event that this tapers off from here the way it built up to start with, total deaths may yet be under 100.000.

I would be shocked. Thrilled, but shocked.

Barr lied to get Flynn off?  I’m so shocked I just fell off my chair:

But the report of my interview is no support for Mr. Barr’s dismissal of the Flynn case. It does not suggest that the F.B.I. had no counterintelligence reason for investigating Mr. Flynn. It does not suggest that the F.B.I.’s interview of Mr. Flynn — which led to the false-statements charge — was unlawful or unjustified. It does not support that Mr. Flynn’s false statements were not material. And it does not support the Justice Department’s assertion that the continued prosecution of the case against Mr. Flynn, who pleaded guilty to knowingly making material false statements to the FBI, “would not serve the interests of justice.”

Oh dear lord.

A story about  the C&C, where Nick Puckett's video is from.

It's not just that it's open, Larry, but that *nobody* is wearing masks. Nobody is even pretending to make an effort to keep safe or to keep others safe.

(I am not suggesting that you didn't know that, just underscoring my recognition of how out of whack it is.)

The FBI interview with Flynn was in violation of White House rules and had no counterintelligence purpose. Every thing Flynn and Kisylak spoke about was taped. It was later illegally leaked to the Washington Post in violation of FISA law.
The only reason the FBI set Flynn up was to, at the very least, get him fired because the Obama gang knew they could not continue the Collusion Hoax with Flynn as National Security advisor.

"Safety recommendations" were not the consultation. The consultation was the back and forth prior to the governor's threatening letter.

However, if the road is not the state's, contrary to the governor's claim, then the tribe has the rights it is claiming. Do you have anything in which the governor responded to the bipartisan letter from the state senators, correcting Governor Noem? I haven't seen one, yet.

Barack Obama opines on the Michael Flynn matter.
Friday, May 8.

“There is no precedent that anybody can find for someone who has been charged with perjury just getting off scot-free,”...,

Obama, as a former Ivy League Law Professor seems not to know that
Flynn never committed perjury nor was he ever charged with perjury.

Maybe the former President is sensing the drip, drip, drip of a investigation into the made-up Collusion Witch Hunt starting to turn against him.

No self-isolation for Mike Pence, known to have been exposed. He either doesn't give a damn if he exposes others or he believes his god will protect him.

Maybe Ward cannot deal with 2020, so continues to lie about 2016 & 17.
