(+100,000 & growing by many Benghazis each and every day)

We’ve achieved 1/3 of the minimal amount of testing necessary to even get a rough handle on the extent and progress of the virus, not taking into account how many of the “tests” don’t work.

That doesn’t get into PPE, personnel, or treatment, or even quarantine accommodations.

Also trump is Putin’s bitch, little whiny bitch that is.

Wow.  Joe isn't playing:

Joe Biden commits on @MSNBC to not pardon Donald Trump. "Absolutely, yes. I commit," he says.

He adds later, “We never saw anything like the prostitution of that office like we see today.

I think people, myself included, are underestimating Joe's bite.  And now with Trump shouting "Obamagate" and McConnell misrepresenting the record (however he backpedals) and telling the former President of the United States to "shut his mouth" Donald is picking a fight that he isn't going to want.

As the confirmed U.S. death toll surpassed 85,000, one of the world’s oldest and best-known medical journals slammed President Trump’s “inconsistent and incoherent national response” to the novel coronavirus pandemic and accused the administration of relegating the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to a “nominal” role.

The Lancet’s unsigned editorial concluded that Trump should be replaced. “Americans must put a president in the White House come January, 2021, who will understand that public health should not be guided by partisan politics,” said the journal, which was founded in Britain in 1823.

Meanwhile, as the FBI is transformed into Trump's hit squad (e. g. Sen.  Burr) we continue to creep towards fascism.   Five and a half months,  I hope we survive.

Wow, that's a controversial position.

Trump should resign.

Burr is getting what is coming to him. Though why Loeffler isn't also is... interesting.

I too once met a girl in Central Park, but it is not much to remember. What I remember is the time John Wayne killed three men with a carbine as he was falling to the dusty street in Stagecoach, and the time the kitten found Orson Welles in the doorway in The Third Man.

Remember when impeachment was claimed a big distraction for Congress when they should have been concerned about COVID-19?  Yet while the epidemic rages and the economy is hurting badly, the GOP think it's a good time to crack open an investigation of the Russian investigation.

These fuckers are nothing if not hypocritical and ultra-partisan.

Biden and the DEMS need to make a string case for not just Biden and removing Trump, but for the need for a DEM Senate.

Burr resisted Grenell's takeover (as much as any Republican would be expected to do so.) Warrant against Burr was publicized within a day of its being issued.  Used to be there was a rule about keeping investigations secret until that investigation had concluded, let alone an investigation into a sitting Senator.

Pure coincidence that this is happening days before the SSCI releases the final volume of their Russia Investigation report?  I think not (while the report is said to have been written and undergoing last edits, lets see what happens...)

Burr will eventually get what is coming to him.  The manner of his treatment by the DOJ, however, points to political targeting.

Also, they need to hammer at the need for professional politicians.  You know the kind of folks who know how government works, and are able to get things done.

Point to the governors, and how most Guvs have high approval ratings as they work hard trying to protect the people.

Not fraudsters and disorganized idiots like Trump, who still doesn't understand the need for any coordinated national virus strategy.  And just causes chaos and confusion and division wherever he goes, whatever he says.

Or former Eli Lilly lobbyist Azar, who has been completely useless Sec of Health.
Experts, people who have studied and understand and you know, have actual expertise, are good.

In business, if there are problems, mostly you cut expenses, which usually means cutting your workforce and dumping those folks on the gov't.  Gov't has a much different mission, they are the backstop which deals with the problems, they provide the safety net, and gov't spending by its very nature goes up during a crisis.

Bureaucrats need to know how to get things done, how to use the mechanisms available, how to meet or circumvent rules, how to involve the private sector.
In the Trump Admin, no one seemed to know how to do anything, didn't attempt to coordinate anything, botched things badly so likely 2M Americans will get unnecessarily sick and 150K will die.

Jared's idea of a great success!
