Whew - good read:
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/toto-we-aint-flatten-curve-land-anymore?utm_medium=referral&utm_source=miximedia&utm_campaign=zerohedge

That guy is all over the place.  I like how he continually quotes himself.
The opening CS Lewis quote is weird since it's talking about moral busybodies and includes:
Quote
To be “cured” against one’s will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.”
Which only makes (some kind of) sense when you get to the end and realize this guy is a COVID denier and thinks the virus is a hoax (that somehow fooled every country and medical professional in the world).  And it's all a power grab.  And that the ventilators killed people, not the aggressive pneumonia their CT scans showed.

How on earth is that a good read?
Some crackpot is convinced that there are vast conspiracies.  And this novel coronavirus is the Current Big One. But there are many many others.  Fractional reserve banking-- the gold standard abolished!  How did we allow such tyranny and fraud!  Wonder what he thinks about the Moon "landings?"

Kind of sad there are people who actually believe or pretend to believe COVID-19 is a fraud.  Pandemics are just gimmicks or whatever.  Electronic purchases are another.  And kiid passes this on as a "good read".

Amazing!

The arguments in this article are profound enough that they shouldn’t be lightly tossed aside.

They should be thrown with a great amount of force.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/jane-roe-confesses-anti-abortion-conversion-all-an-act-paid-for-by-the-christian-right

Jane Roe (of Roe v. Wade) never changed her mind about having an abortion. She just needed money and the Christian Right paid her to claim she'd become anti-abortion rights.

Thanks for that.  I was just talking about her yesterday to some Chinese friends.  There was always talk she was being paid or receiving gifts/benefits from the religious folks and used as a prop.  That article claims she got nearly half a million over the years.

Lotta hypocrisy and dishonesty seems to arise from the religious folks and those preaching morality.

Is it any wonder the numbers in some places are going down? The government (in this case, Florida) is deleting data.

What I find interesting in the conspiracy theories that blather on about global surveillance networks as part of the coronavirus hoax is that it doesn't make sense to have everyone wear face obscuring masks if you want to surveil them wherever they go.   If you go somewhere and turn off your phone (or as I often do,  leave it in the car),  you're pretty anonymous if you're masked up.   The whole point of the FR algorithms that has people so concerned is,  erm,  facial analysis.

The scientist who created Florida's COVID-19 data portal wasn't just removed from her position on May 5, she was fired on Monday by the Department of Health, she said, for refusing to manipulate data.

https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2020/05/19/florida-covid-19-coronavirus-data-researcher-out-state-reopens/5218897002/

Rebekah Jones said in an email to the USA TODAY Network that she single-handedly created two applications in two languages, four dashboards, six unique maps with layers of data functionality for 32 variables covering a half a million lines of data. Her objective was to create a way for Floridians and researchers to see what the COVID-19 situation was in real time.

Then, she was dismissed.

"I worked on it alone, sixteen hours a day for two months, most of which I was never paid for, and now that this has happened I'll probably never get paid for," she wrote in an email, confirming that she had not just been reassigned on May 5, but fired from her job as Geographic Information Systems manager for the Florida Department of Health.

Researchers who saw the email reacted with shock and dismay, suggesting it could be evidence that the Gov. Ron De Santis' government was censoring information to support the case for re-opening Florida.

That's the stealth beauty of it all.
You increase surveillance when people are masked so they overlook the increased surveillance ... until it's too late!  Actually it's mainly these rightwingers who go unmasked who are into such conspiracy theories.

Although seriously I wouldn't doubt that the gov't and businesses will use this viral opportunity to increase surveillance.   Then again this is an age where front door cams are common (at least in suburbia).  June 2019, Shanghai loaded up every street corner and public space with cameras.  I saw a chart recently where Shanghai was 3rd in the world in security cameras per person, behind I think Shenzhen and ChongQing.  Atlanta was the highest ranked US city.

Otherwise, you won't be able to leave your phone in the car when society goes cashless and you use phone scans to pay for everything.  I've been paying via mobile phone app for near-on 3 years now.  Rarely do anything with cash.  Almost never see or touch the stuff, which is a good thing in these Days of Virus.  I worry about homeless people and how they make out in a cashless world.  I try to keep a few coins or a spare small bill in my jacket and basketball bag, so I can help out now and then.  Living on the street is tough.

The only part of the story  that is relevant to my question.
And from that you conclude that “ could be evidence” also “ could “ apply to all data sets in your previous post.
Not very scientific reasoning.

On the Trump battery theory of life...

If you want more energy, go until you're dropping by day's end.   Asking more energy from your body - long hikes,  sweaty labor,  bike commute,  whatever you can put your back into - is the only way to actually increase mitochondrial function.  That and caffeine.  But check with your cardiologist first!
Trump seems to be more than energized by running circles around democrats.
Chasing his own tail, you mean.

So there are two studies being done on health care workers taking HCQ (and placebos).  A good-sized one (3000 participants) in Michigan and a smaller one in NC run by Duke.  Results not expected until August.

https://edition.cnn.com/2020/05/20/politics/workers-taking-hydroxychloroquine-fact-check/index.html
Scroll halfway down to the Current Studies section.

So at least in terms of studies, Trump is right health care workers are taking hydroxychloraquine (to see if it works).   And I assume there are some folks self-prescribing prophylactically here and there.

All fifty states are now reopening their economies although not all at the same speed.

Hallelujah!

We will never defeat the virus via lockdowns.
Yeah, well, you get your scientific and medical information from a man who advocates injecting bleach and looked straight into an eclipse.
