Btw, Romney became a Utah senator in 2018.  So he's not dropping that sinecure to join Biden's cabinet or be shipped off to China.

If this Romney is the real Romney then he is right where he should be.

A LOYAL opposition is a good thing as long as the loyalty is to the Republic.

Rep. Lou Correa

Disneyland and other California theme parks currently closed by the COVID-19 pandemic can reopen during Stage 3 of Gov. Gavin Newsom’s four-stage road map for reopening the state’s economy, according to state officials. Disneyland, Universal Studios Hollywood, Knott’s Berry Farm, Six Flags Magic Mountain, SeaWorld San Diego, Legoland California and other theme parks fall into Stage 3 of California’s road map for reopening if the rate of spread of COVID-19 and hospitalizations remain stable.

--------------------

Tourism created over 160,000 jobs in Orange County before the crisis, I hope we can hit those numbers again, and hopefully rise above those numbers.

Also, we need to build a high speed train between Las Vegas and Anaheim. Our tourists would love it, and so would the locals.

Another way to attract tourists to Anaheim would be to have an Anaheim international film festival, we had one in 2010 and it was great, and we need to have a film festival annually.

Anaheim also needs to zone land for a modern movie and television studio, we have some great schools in the area, including the Dodge film school at Chapman, and we have USC film school, and in Hollywood there is the AADA for actors, we have a lot of great schools in the area, and we can keep the students local after they graduate, the students can make films and stuff right here in Anaheim.

There is a lot that we can do.

Salute,

Tony V.

Number Seven trim head.   Run that over entire scalp.   Done.   I have insane Celtic hair,  so it's really the best option.

Kid:   Achtung.

Yeah,  the old GOP is gone. The Rockefeller Republicans are mostly extinct,  though there are still echoes of them in guys like Romney.   Opposition to corruption,  fealty to the constitution, those are essential to a viable party,  and so scarce in the GOP that I'd have to agree with just letting it burn down to ashes.   Maybe a new party arises in,  cough,  Phoenix.

And throughout the pro-business, War on Drugs, lock em up, pro-military Democratic party.

Nothing is the same. Nothing is going back to normal.

Biden was a lifeline. The old white guy white men can’t be afraid of. Why do you think black voted Biden over everyone else?

We don’t trust white voters for reasons gained through experience.

Clinton was same old so we get Trump instead? SCOTUS, Fed Judiciary stacked for generations, obscene wealth transferred upward, yeah but we were righteous in putting down the corrupt DNC
Establishment.

You haven’t figured out the Democratic establishment is black people. Otherwise Bloomberg would be running today.

The old game is over. Progressives are winning the policy positions through sheer logic.
The for profit sick care system is DEAD.

Republicans know this. They’re moving mountains to suppress black votes.

Why do we have to fight our own people, too?

You can’t provide good governance if you don’t win elections.

This reminds me of the old racist joke about the Indian named Bowels.

About the black voters and Joe Biden.

Derecka Purnell writing for the Guardian, May 22:

The Democratic party holds black people in an abusive relationship but says you cannot leave because the other option is more abusive. That’s why I don’t believe that a vote against Biden solely means a vote for Trump. Perhaps it is a vote against being captured by the party that makes empty promises every four years when it is election time, and delivers nothing. . . . Perhaps it is a vote against covert and overt racism.
Biden and others will rightfully argue that Trump is worse, and I agree. But what can Biden actually deliver? Will there be fewer drones if he’s president? Maybe not. Fewer deportations? Maybe not. Less money to police departments? No. Will fewer black people die from police? Unlikely. Will black people have healthcare? Unlikely. Will black wealth increase? Unlikely. Will Palestinian lives be safer? Unlikely. Commitments to preserving our climate? Doubtful. If black people have a hard time figuring out the differences between Trump and Biden, then that is Biden’s problem, not ours.
Joe Biden refuses to reckon with the harm that he has caused to people all over the world. His best line is that he is better than the other guy, and that is exactly how abusive relationships function. Black people—all people—deserve better than Biden and the Democratic party. And yes, we are still black.

Not enough to stifle free speech, while claiming to be defending it, in the Twitter instance, now he is going after a retailer for selling a cartoon.

All class, this guy.

Can't wait to see Ward weigh in on it.

Tara-ble typo there.

At this point,  I don't care if Biden humps goats and makes sports jackets out of dead famine babies.   He appears to be a functioning adult.   Good enough for me.   Especially if he picks a progressive like Warren for veep.
