'43 alums for Biden

https://43alumniforjoebiden.com

Principles matter more than politics. That’s why we, a group of alumni who served President Bush, and other Republican presidents, governors, and Members of Congress, support Joe Biden for President.

Join us and our former Republican colleagues in casting your vote for Joe Biden on Election Day, November 3rd, 2020. Together, we can help restore decency, honor, dignity, and true leadership to the White House.

The group, launched Wednesday under the name "43 Alumni for Biden," "seeks to unite and mobilize a community of historically Republican voters who are dismayed and disappointed by the damage done to our nation by Donald Trump's presidency," according to a release. The formation of the group is the latest example of efforts being made by anti-Trump Republicans to defeat the President in November.

I'm really not sure how this works, but...

https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/01/media/mary-trump-book-reliable-sources/index.html

The appellate court lifted the temporary injunction against Simon and Schuster, allow them to resume printing and distribution of Mary Trump's book, pre-sale date.

But it has left the temporary injunction against Mary herself in place until a hearing on Thursday, the 10th.

How does enjoining her but not them work?!

Trump is again asked about his goals for a second term. Listen for yourselves, so you don't have to be told somebody is faking it or misinterpreting it.

He starts a bit before 10 minutes into the video.

They can publish she may be barred from collecting royalties.

Shame the trump campaign spends so much of its money in lawyers who fail to stop the release of books.

He’s getting out raised on the regular now on his way to loss, conviction, and incarceration.

The Trump campaign hasn't paid for either of those book efforts - Trump would never do that when he can use other people's money for it. The DoJ did the first book. Trump's younger brother is carrying the load for this one. At least on the surface.

And I sure hope he gets outraised all the way along, but I am wary of the deep pockets that support him and the GOP. At the same time, I am still titillated by the notion of Michael Bloomberg's buying up Trump's debts!

https://www.vox.com/energy-and-environment/2020/6/30/21305891/aoc-climate-change-house-democrats-select-committee-report

From the article discussing the (500 page) report:
Quote
"Does it constitute a Green New Deal? It doesn’t contain a job guarantee or universal health care. It doesn’t nationalize any industries. But it does “represent a major shift in congressional leaders’ approach to climate policy,” says Maggie Thomas of Inslee campaign spin-off group Evergreen Action, “toward a more urgent plan built on clean energy standards, investment, and environmental justice.”
...
There are some areas of the report with which the climate left will take issue. It places great emphasis on carbon capture, storage, and reuse, is friendly to nuclear, and does not ban fossil fuel infrastructure. "

The group is listening to the experts and not just to their own personal biases.

I think that's great and strengthens their work a ton!

Wanted to get this out before some idiot trumpist posted tomorrow’s jobs numbers as some indication of things improving under confederate fascist leadership of trump and the republicans.

The DOJ’s man hours go on the embezzlement & misappropriation ledger along with secret service golf cart charges. Also do you really think trump’s brother is footing the bill? We haven’t yet IDd the Elliot Broidy in this one, but you can smell him festering near the surface. It’s how trumps do. Even the judge (especially the judge) in the family was so crooked she had to quit.

Also illegal money and misappropriated federal hours spent defending trump’s floppy myths about himself are resources diverted from Putin’s war on America.

Bloomberg owning trump would be hilarious.
