She won't kill herself. She'll try to cut a deal. If you let me go, I won't name this list of folks who did what Jeffrey did.

I'm hoping that despite Trump's attempts to neuter the SDNY, that this will not be the type of deal they are willing to offer her.

More to the point, what data did she have on her person & what further searches have or will be conducted pursuant to the complaint?

Trump adopting the fossil fuel republican strategy for addressing climate change to handle Covid-19 is showing the potential social and economic destruction ignoring obvious empirical warnings causes  on the kind of accelerated timeline that Americans can hold in their attention span. As Covid spirals further out of control, Americans can draw inferences. They see denialism of the future and clinging to the past are becoming deadly and odious habits. They allow room for treason, the selling and discarding of American lives, by those sworn to serve and protect as executives, legislators, down to regulators and peace officers.

Republican is the new kyke, queer, and commie, not something you want sticking to you in any way.

trend is up
Yawn....

The kids at the polling butcher’s shop know that one more piece of bad news means they’ll have to start saying, “president pence”. Fudging their fudge a few points to boost an old man’s spirit is Harley their worst instance of skewing in the recent public record.

STUPIDITY is spreading this virus

A friend who was at the party reached out to Macias to say he had coronavirus, and he was aware of the diagnosis when he attended the gathering but didn't think he could infect anyone because he had no symptoms, Lopez said.

Well at least you've figured out that human behaviour spreads the virus.  Maybe you can pass that along to the President?

It took until July 1, and outbreaks spreading to Red states, before the GOP leadership came out in support of face masks.  And long after not wearing a mask became a rallying cry for Trump supporters.

Pathetic.
Biden and Dems need to hammer the GOP over their stalling and intransigence which led to infections and deaths.

Now I just hope the CDC and govt's at all levels don't keep referring to masks as a backup option if you can't distance, but as a necessary primary prevention, used in addition to social distancing.  Multiple precautions are best since you can't see the virus and don't know where it is.

Carlson had a dude on last night saying there is no scientific evidence masks work

Funny.

Ha.

That kind of show kills people. You think it's funny.

What else is new?

Must be time for your patented "lighten up" lines, huh?

There was an Onion-style headline:
Former masked wrestler votes against wearing masks.

Turns out Kane is now Knox County mayor, and was the lone dissenting vote (7-1) on a measure to mandate masks in certain buildings.

Yes, I think that is just true.

Since we already know the average IQ of Republicans is lower than that of Democrats, we should not be surprised that so many more GOP folks refuse to wear masks than the Democrats do.

Where it is the belief that they are invulnerable, the belief that more testing leads to more cases, or the notion that having a COVID-19 party to see who gets it first is cool... stupidity is rampant.

So, too, the claim that mandating masks will "backfire" or that masks are "a double-edged sword."

Stupidity kills people.

Spikes among young are bad.  But better than spikes in other groups - which is why the death rates (sorry, Sen Warren) will not be increasing any time soon.

What's your definition of "soon," Kid?

Without the rate increasing, we are on a path to hit 178,000 deaths by October 1, only a few thousand dead more than the current IHME model.

But we have 3 states whose ICUs are already at or past capacity.

We have an increasing rate of new cases.

The average daily number of deaths has continued to drop, but it looks like this:
-230, -127, -95, -47 (as of Tuesday).

See a pattern, Kid? I do and it doesn't look good, between that and the average number of new cases in the same period:
-1,388. +2,155, +7,259, +12,297...

When is "any time soon?"

See a pattern, Kid?

Well, you are asking this of someone that posts a daily poll that is lower than it was five days ago and says "trend is up" so...

STUPIDITY is spreading this virus

Funny, when it's not a partisan chest-pounding issue, people generally have no problems with passing laws that help reduce the effect of stupidity - all sorts of health laws have been passed to make sure hands are washed, food is properly cooked, meat is properly butchered and packaged, etc.  Road speeds are regulated to reduce fatalities.  Pilots and drivers are given blood tests for drugs.  FDA strives to keep all sorts of toxins away from us.  Very few gripe about their "freedom" in these matters.  We understand that people often do stupid things and don't always voluntarily exercise restraint or common sense to ensure the safety of others.  One of the most vile things Trump has done is to subvert this basic part of the social contract and settled law.  This subversion is causing death and severe illness.  Fuck Trump.

Black mayor, if you're reference is to 1985. Also, not Innocents. The entire West Philly neighborhood want MOVE out. Not justifying. Just explaining.

Coronavirus cases are rising in 40 of 50 US states

Directly attributable to Trump pushing states to re-open early whether prepared or not (basically none were, and that was known ahead of time).

Cases only dropping in SD, NE and a bunch of Northeast states most of which got hit hard and belatedly took strong measures, which are working now.

The earlier you take action and the stronger your measures, the shorter the need and you get fewer infections and deaths and can reopen sooner.  That's been the lesson all along.

Looks like Trump just plans to take a wait-and-see attitude into the election, bungling all the way.
