Ahh yes, the "In the movies" defense.  So if we reverse the gun holders and a black woman pulled her gun on the unarmed white woman in that scenario that would be fine then, right?

Everything exactly the same?
Everything.
Yes, all fine.

Too funny Qasim Rashid calling the most diverse country in history racist and xenophobic. Sexist, violent, homophobic, and promoting child sex?

Banks

“Damn the torpedoes” is what Farragut said at the Battle of Vicksburg.

I wasn’t playing a game I was making a historical reference about bold action leading to victory.

Historic voting patterns aren’t reliable metrics in this most “unusual” year.

Banks, you never acknowledge I see the world from a different frame of reference.

Our families live in separate universes within the same world.

My kids grew up immersed in the world of politics. They used to hand out campaign swag and say, “Vote for my Mommy!”

My wife is on the board of the ACLU-DC so she’s still up front with the activism.

In the 90s when I was with Sojourners my family would go on the road with me on organizing trips, to conferences and festivals.

Last month my son was elected to the Actors’ Equity Association’s National Council representing actors and stage managers across the country and he is an organizer with a GOTV campaign in Milwaukee.

My daughter is a MSW with DC Child and Family Services and is a fierce advocate for kids in the system.

My sister says we have continued in the family business as our parents were extremely active in leadership roles with LI NAACP throughput our childhood and our Mom won multiple national awards for the branch’s newsletter.

I still have good friends and contacts on the Hill and in media so I don’t make up shit.

I think I’m a little closer to what’s happening on the ground than most.

Things are happening and us geezers need to get on board to do the work or at the very least get out the way.

They.  Were.  Inside. A.  Car.

If they were truly car blocked by the woman or her daughter,  then calling the police would be sufficient.  The family was unarmed and simply asking for an apology.   If they crossed a line and actually did block the car's exit, that's a breach of etiquette and decorum,  not a mortal threat.

I cannot see any evidence they were car blocked,  however,  so what then would be the obstacle to just driving away?  Again -- what was the threat that required pointing a gun?
There's really no way you can make the gun-wielding Karen come off as a rational adult.

Destruction of their property, denting their car by banging on it.

Her mistake was getting out of the car.
Never get out of the car...it will usually end badly.

Having gotten out of the car to argue...what happened happened.
Law says she did wrong.
I say she was justified...self defence.

"where's a MAGA hat on Fox"

MAGA hats are everywhere on Fox.

I think MAGA hats are required and part of the Fox News dress code.

Fair and Balanced.

Indeed.
Just balancing the scales.

Note to would-be thugs and rioters:

This week the FBI announced a record 3.9 million background checks for June, the highest monthly total since the FBI began keeping the statistic in 1998. Adjusting to reflect checks only for gun purchases, the National Shooting Sports Foundation says this works out to 2.2 million, a 136% increase over June 2019. NSSF spokesman Mark Oliva says about 40% of these checks are for first-time gun buyers.

He was seemingly  being a smart ass, and seemingly put his arm past the line.
Cops pounced.
Cops don't like smart asses.
Nobody likes smart asses?

Anyway, time they all went home.

Australia also has bought some sort of anti-missile defence shield.
China is not happy.

Fox News should get Megan Kelly back...it hasn't been the same since she left.

True though.

I was an avid viewer until Megan Kelly departed.
When she departed they lost their bite.
