On the issue of housing, as Anaheim continues to grow...

We can build towers in the Platinum Triangle Community, and the towers can be huge, and they can have a grocery story and a pharmacy in each tower, and a doctor's office and a dentist's office, and a liquor store, and a gym, and a swimming pool on the roof, etc.

And the underground area can be used, like in Crystal City, Virginia, there can be underground transportation, and underground parking, and underground shopping, there can be an IMAX movie theatre underground, etc.

Also, I have friends who love tennis, there has to be a place for people to play tennis.

There is a lot to consider as Anaheim develops and grows.

And of course we need piazzas like in Italy, with statues and fountains and cobblestones, and wonderful outdoor landscaping.

We need to grow in awesome ways as we grow, there is a lot to consider.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Platinum_Triangle,_Anaheim

We need 50,000 new housing units here in Anaheim to keep up with demand, and we need to include housing for Senior Citizens, and for disabled people, and for people with low income. One idea is for the units on the lower floors on the new towers to be cheaper, and the units on the upper floors to be more expensive, with the top floor being the most expensive, the Penthouses will be on the top floors and will be expensive.

I also want us to go with the best and most creative architects and designers and landscapers.

There is a lot of hard work to do in order to keep up with demand, and we need to do a cool job, we need to leave behind great things for future generations, as we try to best serve the present generation.

And this will be world class housing, and it will be nice and safe, we are not going to build a ghetto, we are going to build cool stuff.

Salute,

Tony V.

One of the best approaches to a lot of poverty problems.   Bang-for-buck,  this is a good fix and removes a repeating cycle of crisis from people's lives.
Except for the details. ...[blah blah blah]

Which results in tons of federally subsidized apartments in the suburbs.

People who aren't like you,  roaming your hood!   You must be shitting your Ben Hogan's.
My advice:  if they turn up on the links,  bury yourself in a sand trap and call 911.

Seriously, try to form a coherent argument against mixed-income neighborhoods.   Bo  at least gave some concrete examples of problems with federal vouchers.   But hey,  baby steps.   Get people out of sleeping in cars and in stable surroundings first...
Lol.
The only viable way to mixed income neighborhoods is owners having skin in the game. It is a concept foreign to leftists who after federal grant -ad nauseam can’t understand why nothing changes.  Insanity squared.

Why would Americans want to travel anywhere atm.
Anyway, with the low wages being paid it's a wonder Americans have any spare cash to go anywhere.

"low wages" - not so much, for a substantial chunk of America. Americans are paying off credit card debt at a high rate at the moment.

Women get paid less than men. Blacks get paid less than whites. But your favorite group is mostly not complaining.

White men, ages 25 and over, have an unemployment rate of 9.6$, which drops to 8.3% among the 45-54 year olds and 8.7 for the 35-44 year olds. This compares to:

White women, ages 25 and over, have an unemployment rate of 11.6%, which drops to 10.9% among the 45-54 year olds and 10.2 for the 35-44 year olds.

Black men, ages 25 and over, have an unemployment rate of 14.4,% which rises to 14.8% among the 45-54 year olds and 11.3 for the 35-44 year olds.

*Last modified July 2.

And Black women, ages 25 and over, have an unemployment rate of 14%, which drops to 13.1% among the 45-54 year olds and 812.2for the 35-44 year olds.

Defund the Police!

Shootings are up 76 percent over where they were this time last year in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago.
NBC News reports not only the surge in shootings but also the fact that “nearly all the bloodshed concentrated in the city’s predominantly Black and brown communities on the South and West Sides.”

Since January 2020 to May 2020 in Democrat-controlled Louisville, Kentucky, nearly “75 percent of homicide victims were black.”
And in Mayor Bill de Blasio’s (D) New York City, every shooting victim in the month of July has been a minority.

And if they were not black, you would not be talking about it - nor do you care that they are dead, only that they serve as whipping boys for your diatribes.

COVID-19? Nah, don't want to talk about that! Corruption with the SBA payroll relief funds? Oops, change the topic.

The shootings are problematic. So are the police, for all that you don't wish to discuss that, either. But you don't care about solutions, just distraction.

Since January 2020 to July 2020 in Republican-controlled USA, of some 130,000 fatalities due to covid-19, nearly all were Americans, of every conceivable color.

Many of whom unfortunately died due to the total incompetence and indifference of Donald Trump.

Trump shows mercy and commutes the prison sentence of his co-conspirator and dirty trickster Roger Stone.

Who says Trump lack empathy?

[All] Black lives matter!    All lives matter.....even that homeless man in the wheelchair over there in Seattle, covered in some sort of protective stuff.
Even that 'crazy' homeless man shouting in the street.
And too that homeless older lady with her long pants half falling down.

Must be some law in the National Security handbook that would allow federal agents to relocate, even if by 'force', such people to a better residential abode and better life...fed govt facility with rolling green hills, warm beds, good meals, and benches on which to sit in the sun and pat visiting companion dogs.

Which means that about 86% of young Black people in America are employed. [even higher rate of employment for older Black people.]
Listening to the chatter on here I thought that employment rate would be more like 56%.

But yeah, I was thinking Bendix.

Trump built the wall. It keeps us in. This was easy to predict and sad to watch come to pass.

White people who never owned slaves should not have to pay reparation to people who never were slaves.

BLM isn't about reparations. All it's about is not being killed by cops for being black.
