It is pretty bad Bambu, when you ride the train you see homeless people all along the railroad tracks. It is a crisis. It was bad before the Corona Virus crisis, and it is even worse now, these are the worst times I have ever seen, it is scary.

This is assault

A friend who does not yet know you suggests this might just be a fantasy of yours that you are unwilling to admit to.

About that mail-in election idea.
...
ELKINS, WEST VIRGINIA – Thomas Cooper, a mail carrier in Pendleton County, charged with “Attempt to Defraud the Residents of West Virginia of a Fair Election.” In April the Clerk of Pendleton County received “2020 Primary Election COVID-19 Mail-In Absentee Request" forms from eight voters on which the voter's party-ballot request appeared to have been altered.
An ensuing investigation found five ballot requests that had been altered from “Democrat” to “Republican.” On three other requests, the party wasn’t changed, but the request had been altered.

As we have pointed out repeatedly, Ward, if the GOP is complaining that the Dems might do something, it's because they are already doing it.

Thank you for making the point.

Now... how often do you think this happens without its being caught?

And... still not answering the questions.

Trump’s campaign manager is a felon.
His deputy campaign manager is a felon.
His national security advisor is a felon.
His foreign policy advisor is a felon.
His personal lawyer is a felon.
His long time advisor is a felon.

It’s not a campaign, it’s a criminal enterprise.

About that mail-in election idea.

Carol Tims , who lives in Atlanta,
was surprised when she saw a USPS letter in her mail addressed to “ Cody” Tims because Cody was her late pet cat that has been dead for 12 years( but technically still in her home in a cremation can).
The letter was asking Cody to register to vote.
"There's a huge push but if they're trying to register cats, I'm not sure who else they're trying to register said Tims.
The Secretary of State's Office says the application did not come from their office. They say third party groups often use mailing lists to get names and addresses. They released a statement saying:
"Third-party groups all over the country are targeting Georgia to help register qualified individuals. This group makes you wonder what these out-of-town activists are really doing. Make no mistake about it, this office is dedicated to investigating all types of fraud."

And? What does that have to do with mail in ballots? It is not like the cat will actually register.

And in West Virginia

Cooper was responsible for the mail delivery of the three towns from which the tampered requests were mailed: Onego, Riverton, and Franklin, West Virginia. According to the affidavit, Cooper admitted to altering some of the requests, saying it was a joke.
So, they caught it. Not as easy to do as people think.

Fuck this jerk too

The death of anyone reminds us: What have we not done, what could we be doing? Should we re-prioritize our lives? And we've already seen a lot of that happen during lockdowns and dislocation from our families, friends and jobs.

Curious what the legality of painting BLM on public streets really is? I know that when they painted that thin blue line on streets inmany towns in NJ it was declared illegal by the feds.

It is a political statement. Should it be painted on a public roadway?  And is legal to do so?

I'm not quibbling about the message. Just curious about whether it's legal to deliver it in this manner.

After all, I am guessing that if I took blue and white paint and wrote Support Israel on the street, their would be a legal consequence.

So what is the legal stature of this political message delivery system? Anyone?

I taught Art courses at a private school in Potomac and a bunch of the boys were targgers who kept getting into rich kid trouble. I told the brats the difference between graffiti art and vandalism was permission.

When the mayors of these towns approve or in the case of DC commission the work I would think legality is not a huge problem.

So...to extend this, if the mayor, town council, etc, approve, it's not a problem?

Wouldn't that apply to all symbols and/or expressions of political pov,, too?

Like rainbow crosswalks?

Exactly.

They have to be problematic in and of themselves. There are limits, but these are not they.

Define "limits".

Not mine to define.

Up to the random judge who gets a challenge case, initially, and then the highest level it gets challenged to. I suspect that the Court would see it as freedom of speech, but for whom?

I am pretty comfortable with the notion that this would not rule against either the rainbow crosswalks or the street painting, without some evidence of the problems the Highway Dept claims.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if it proves to be true and they are available to the prosecutors. Yes, regardless.

Boy, would that be a shocker to a lot of (potentially formerly) people!

Clinton will surely be protected.

Not so sure about trump or many of his biggest donors.

So, if a town and its mayor and council approved painting the Confederate flag in a crosswalk, that political statement  would be lagal, based on your statements.
