(a) You think that's an equivalent shot, which is pretty funny.
(b) You admit that you don't give a damn about what people do when they aren't doing their jobs, but only use it as a stick.
(c) One of us works on the things he talks about. One of us makes conflicting claims all the time, engaged only in posturing.
You're the second. You attack me on BLM because you can't think of anything else to attack me on, rather than because you believe it. You cannot imagine anybody who is not Black sincerely supporting it, because you know that you would only support something for a self-serving reason. Therefore, that must be everybody else's motivation, too.
There are a couple big differences between us that you have highlighted here.
1) I've been fighting for the cause of racial equity and justice for decades. BLM is an important movement, but it is pursuing the same goals, only deeper.
2) I know that while I believe in the goals and I work to be a good and effective ally, I also know that it is not
my call what is done or how it is done. And I know that I still have prejudice to work through and past.
Your "causes" are skin deep and involve whatever is going on now. You have never gotten so angry reading a book about injustice that you had to put it down.
And you embrace your bigotry, rather than trying to address or correct it, as if your denials reflected any truth other than that you like the sound of your self-agreeing. I hope that someday you realize how screwy you are in the head and heart, but it is really hard to see how that might happen.
