I am sorry, I should not bring the focus to the homosexuality in prison, the part of the movie "Blood In, Blood Out" about how they divide people up by race, and then the races fight against each other in prison, they really do that. They have race riots in prison, and all of that. And they are teaching the prisoners to be racist.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_In_Blood_OutThey divide people up by race, and then the races fight against each other.
And I am all for prison reform, and for reforming and redeeming the prisoners. I loved my uncles, and I wrote letters to them when they were in prison, and I went with my Grandmother to visit my uncles in prison. One uncle is still alive, and he is married to a great woman and he is doing great, he works to help other people to get away from drugs and crime, he works for a treatment center, he is helping other people and I am very proud of him.
We need to train the prisoners so that they can get jobs when they get out, etc, there is a lot that we can do.
And we should stop dividing them up by race and fighting them against each other.
I understand also that people form gangs for protection, and we are social creatures, it is all complicated.
Reforming and redeeming our prisoners is what needs to happen, instead of making them into racists and fighting them against each other. But, I understand that it is all difficult.
When my uncles were in prison, I wrote a letter to the warden at a prison where one of my uncles was, and I gave all of my ideas to the warden on how to better run the prison. I told the warden that he was making the prisoners all racist, and I gave him all of my ideas on how to do a better job.
A good movie about a prison warden is "Brubaker" which was shot in 1980 with Robert Redford.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BrubakerWe need prison reform, we need to end the racism in prison, and I apologize for bringing the focus to the homosexuality.
Salute,
Tony V.
