News round up:
Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) says it would be a “double standard” to fill a Supreme Court vacancy before 2021 & “would not support it.”
That's two senators. Two more are needed. Maybe Sasse and Romney? I am sure that Susan Collins would be concerned, but sure that whomever Trump nominated should a vacancy occur would be fine.
The Dept. of Justice says they’ve completed their review of 29 FISA warrants that were flagged by the IG for being out of compliance and have found only 2 material errors and found that all of the applications contained sufficient basis for probable cause, a statement says.
I am sure that all the up-in-arms GOP folks will be reassured and stop claiming that the process was illegal and inappropriate. Aren't you?
Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. could be investigating President Donald Trump and his company for possible insurance and bank fraud, the prosecutor’s office revealed in a new court filing.
That revelation came in a filing by Vance’s office that urged a federal judge to toss out Trump’s new legal effort to prevent prosecutors from getting his tax returns and other records from his accountants through a grand jury subpoena.
I am sure our LAW AND ORDER folks, Kid, Ward, and Bambi, will all come out in support of DA Vance's efforts and urge the president to turn them over. Right?
The president, ever willing to consider questions, responded:
“This is just a continuation of the witch hunt. It’s Democrat stuff,” Trump told reporters. “They failed with Mueller. They failed with everything. They failed with Congress. They failed at every stage of the game. This has been going on for three and a half, four years.”
“This is a continuation of the worst witch hunt in American history,” he said before adding that he knew nothing about the investigation.
Are you now or have you ever been a member of the Trump Administration.
Roy Cohn would be so proud!
