Ward, this is from 2016.
Today blacks( 8-10) want the same or MORE presence in THEIR neighborhoods

https://news.gallup.com/poll/316571/black-americans-police-retain-local-presence.aspx?utm_source=tagrss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=syndication

Hardly a testimonial to your absurdity that all cops lie.

From your piece:
Quote
Meanwhile, nearly equal proportions of Black Americans say they would like the police to spend more time in their area (20%) as say they'd like them to spend less time there (19%).

"Overwhelmingly."

You previously asked the question of why, given the regularity (vs. frequency, which is not addressed) with which police lie in court, the "overwhelming" majority of Blacks are in favor of more cops in their neighborhoods. And it's a good question, even when it turns out that it's about equal between those who want them there more and those who want them there less. (Which is not the same as your claim, but it will do.)

Quote

Black Americans' Preference for Amount of Time Police Spend in Their Neighborhood
Results according to their confidence that police would treat them courteously, respectfully
Very confident   Somewhat confident   Not too confident   Not at all confident

More time      24         19            19            18
Same amount   68         71            56            23
Less time        7         10            25            59

GALLUP PANEL, JUNE 23-JULY 6, 2020

We have no data on how they feel about lying cops, of course. But we do have info about how they feel about rude, disrespectful cops and it turns out that even among those who are not confident in good treatment by police , 19% (Not too) and 18% (Not at all) still want the police to spend more time there.

But in that last group, 56% want them to spend less time.

And in the "Not too confident" camp, more want less time than more time.

Are you pleased with those numbers?

Do you think they represent a profession that is doing a good job?!

Back in 2012, Trump had tweeted: "Why Is @BarackObama constantly issuing executive orders that are major power grabs of authority?"

I should run for Mayor of Anaheim. I have a clean record, and I had a friend from Kiwanis who ran. There are people they just put "Civil Rights Activist" as their job, and they run for office. Some people volunteer to help the homeless, and then they run for Mayor. Sometimes housewives run for Mayor. You do not need to be a brain surgeon to run for Mayor. I could help the homeless. I could help the foster children. I could help the immigrants. I could help those with mental illness. I could help the children. And for sure I would represent the people, everything would be about helping the people. I would not be doing it for the money, I will make money from my movie, and from my poetry book, and from other stuff, I would be doing it to make the world a better place, otherwise I would love to just go make movies and stuff.

Salute,

Tony V.

You should run for Mayor....the power is with elected officials.

Alice Paul, addressing women at a factory...

"30  women died in a factory fire last month, where's your fire escape".
"Laws are made by elected officials, nobody hears you".
"A vote is a fire escape".

movie, 'Iron Jawed Angels'  (Nineteenth Amendment")...every woman  in America should vote.

If Covid weren't so very serious...one would have to laugh at the idiocy,  stupidity etc of the school officials for allowing that absolutely crowded corridor to happen.

Belly laugh!

HA HA HA HA HA!

Close the school for 2 weeks!
Send the school officials to a re- education camp!

Today, President Trump announced that if reelected, he would eliminate the funding for Social Security and Medicare, making his (illegal) tax "holiday" permanent.

"The police lie. All the time. Can anything slow them down?"

Not every time, but regularly.
Try again.  You are making progress even while embarrassing yourself.

Cops lie routinely.
No they don’t.

Yeah. They do. I’m married to a former ADA.
I have been on both halves of the cop questioning. I think cops have roughly the same relationship to the truth as the rest of us. They lie as much and for roughly the same reasons.

The consequences are by no means equal.

My no 1 morning radio talk show host just played a country song from America, a Covid song, by Luke Combs, titled Six Feet Apart.

My no 1 morning radio talk show host … Ray Hadley, 2gb.com...is waging 'war' on the dimwits, fools, no-ideas who refuse to take Covid-19 seriously, practise social distancing etc... thereby putting the lives and future health of adults and children at risk.

The song is on YouTube.

Six Feet Apart

When the dogwoods start to bloom
And the crickets hum their tune
That's usually about the time
That I feel most alive
But the news has all been bad
And the whole world seems so sad
I ain't had much else going on
So I sat down and wrote this song

I miss my mom, I miss my dad
I miss the road, I miss my band
Givin' hugs and shakin' hands
It's a mystery, I suppose
Just how long this thing goes
But there'll be crowds and there'll be shows
And there will be a light after dark
Someday when we aren't six feet apart

First thing that I'm gonna do
Is slide on in some corner booth
And take the whole damn family out
And buy my buddies all a round
Pay some extra on the tab
Catch a movie, catch a cab
Watch a ballgame from the stands
Probably over-wash my hands

I miss my mom, I miss my dad
I miss the road, I miss my band
Givin' hugs and shakin' hands
Well, it's a mystery, I suppose
Just how long this thing goes
But there'll be crowds and there'll be shows
And there will be a light after dark
Someday when we aren't six feet apart

I miss my mom, I miss my dad
I miss the road, I miss my band
Givin' hugs and shakin' hands
Well, it's a mystery, I suppose
Just how long this thing goes
But there'll be crowds and there'll be shows
There will be a light after dark
Someday when we aren't six feet apart
There will be a light after dark
Someday when we aren't six feet apart

Wow.

Is he TRYING to lose in November?  Sounds like Grover "Give Everyone a 401k, they can manage their own retirement" Norquist has been whispering in Trump's ear.   And Trump just heard the "kill entitlement programs" but not the other part.

In response to Trump’s payroll tax forgiveness Pelosi responds that the unemployment compensation extension was “ always negotiable”.
Well it is now.

If only he could figure out that the science on climate change is at least as solid as on COVID-19 and the results even deadlier.

Ward, you do know it is not "payroll tax forgiveness," don't you?

It is set up to require repayment at the end of the calendar year.
