It's always a failure when a violent confrontation is forced,  and there are other options.   In the crazy-with-knife scenario,  why not retreat to a vehicle and wait for a tactical specialist who has some form of stun device?   Why is there no middle ground between lethal engagement and giving up?   Most of these cases are mentally ill people who need deescalation, not execution.

If only he'd obeyed the directions of the police officers...who wanted to return safely to their families after their day's work.
The mob goes berserk, burning down America again.

Man attempts to break up argument between two women.

Cops arrive and tell the BLACK man to come with them, even though he had done nothing.

Man goes to his car WHERE HIS THREE CHILDREN ARE SITTING.

Policeman, who could have physically stopped him any time before he got to the car, grabs his shirt and shoots him 7 times.

No reports of a gun anywhere to be seen. And you are taking the police version of the story verbatim.

Police lie frequently to protect themselves.

Drugs hurt him his whole life. He spent 14 years in prison. He never got married, never had children, never owned a home, and died in poverty.

Anyone trying to give you drugs is not your friend. And you do not want to be addicted to drugs. Drugs are horrible. And they might be putting rat poison in the cocaine, the cocaine is not coming from your friends, it is coming from our enemies, the people who did cocaine heavily in the 1980s are gone now from nose cancer.

I saw a guy at a cheap motel in Pasadena let the drug dealer have sex with his wife in exchange for drugs. I watched him take the children and leave while the drug dealer went in and had sex with his wife. People sell their souls for drugs.

Pot is legal now, you can smoke pot, and there is wine that is legal, and coffee, stay away from the hard stuff that comes from our enemies. People who give you heroin or cocaine are not your friends.

And meth sucks too, it is poison. And meth makes your teeth fall out. I knew some girls were were beautiful when they were young, but then they got on meth, and I barely recognized them, meth ruins people, it makes hot chicks ugly.
