https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/28/politics/brian-kolfage-bannon-prosecutors-request/index.html

Meanwhile, back to the other Trump-allied non-profit's troubles.

Quote
In a letter to Judge Analisa Torres, prosecutors wrote that Brian Kolfage, Bannon's associate in the We Build The Wall campaign, has made half a dozen "highly inflammatory" posts on Facebook, including live streamed videos, and several posts on Instagram about the allegations.

Kolfage was arrested last week, along with Bannon and two others, and charged by the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York with defrauding investors out of hundreds of thousands of dollars in a project pledging to construct a wall along the southern US border. He is due to be arraigned on the charges on Monday in a video court appearance. Bannon has pleaded not guilty.

In a pinned post on Facebook highlighted by prosecutors, Kolfage wrote, "This case by the SDNY is an assault on every WBTW donors freedom. They want to seize your information, which many of our donors are big corporate executives. They want to target you each for political reasons."

On Friday, in another Facebook post, Kolfage wrote, "Whoever stopped us from building the wall has robbed you of border security. (And your donations) We were weeks away from wall #3. That's the real crime; a weaponized judicial system with political motivations."

Trees murdered 2 adults and one child  in Melbourne Australia last night.

What about the thin green line that protects us all?  Why focus on these few deaths?  Statistically people kill way more people than trees do.

It just takes a few bad apple trees.   Prune,  or more will perish needlessly!

A good man must take the elm!   Or it will be fir naught.   Bad arborists only serve to magnoliafy the problem.

What was he doing with an assault rifle at 17?
A gun at all?
Is that legal?

I dont know - but under different circumstance he carries that AR all night and nothing ever happens with it.
This might be the most Kid post ever.

The New Hampshire GOP has been engaged in a somewhat more insidious form of voter suppression - sending out bad absentee ballot applications. Various different issues:

https://www.nhpr.org/post/republican-voter-registration-mailer-goes-out-wrong-addresses#stream/0

This is about their having the wrong addresses on them for submitting them. Their claim that it was a printer error would be more believable... from the story:
Quote
The GOP mailer bills itself as an “official absentee voter registration packet request” and tells recipients that “registering to vote absentee is as easy as 1-2-3.” The process is made difficult, however, by the fact that the mailers included incorrect return addresses for voters to send their absentee voter registration forms to.

New Hampshire voters who wish to register by absentee need to request a voter registration form from their town clerk. In theory, that’s what this mailer is helping voters to do.

However, it appears that while the first two lines of the street addresses for town clerks in each community are accurate in the mailers, they all list “Durham, NH” in the final line of the address for every voter, regardless of what town they live in. Voters who do not live in Durham would have their request to register by absentee denied.

In a memo provided to NHPR on Monday, the New Hampshire Attorney General's office said it is working with Durham officials "to ensure the appropriate town or city clerks are notified if a voter has submitted this postcard to request an absentee voter registration package." The Secretary of State's office has not yet responded to questions about the matter from NHPR.

At least a few recipients of the mailers have interpreted the wrong addresses as an intentional move by the state Republican Party.

But in a written statement state GOP Chairman Steve Stepanek says it was an error caused by a “printing mistake” and that the party is working to send out new mailers with corrected info this week.

But this was not all...

https://www.wmur.com/article/ag-issues-cease-and-desist-order-to-state-gop-over-absentee-ballot-applications/33835930

The applications also don't have the state-mandated information on them, making them invalid even without the mailing address problem which had ostensibly been fixed.

So, thousands of people would have thought they sent in valid applications, only to be denied and possibly run out of time to be able to vote safely.

This is not the first election for dirty tricks by the NH GOP, either, just the newest wrinkle.

While being far less consequential in terms of peoples lives and well-being, seeing TRUMP 2020 inscribed over the Washington Monument in a fireworks display for the Republican National Convention is the most blatant.
When Obama bathed the White House in Rainbow Colors in 2015 I bet you had a different reaction

What campaign was that for?

Kanye West's "campaign" argued that "before 5pm" should include every second of the 5pm deadline - up to, but not including 5:01pm.

The Wisconsin folks reviewed the tape of the GOP West operative entering the building at 5:00 and 14 seconds. They concluded that there was no way for her to have gotten to their door (up an elevator) in the remaining 46 seconds, therefore they re-rejected his signatures.

No West on the Wisconsin ballot.

He bizarrely tweeted (paraphrased) 'why should we care? look at all the ballots we are on!'

High winds can also knock down utility poles.   Stringing wires on poles is a barbaric practice and must be stopped.

Have you heard of Alexander Graham Kowalski?    He was the first telephone Pole.

Joe just told Nancy to pound sand.
He will debate Trump.
Good for him
He understands staying in his basement was a sure losing strategy.

The NH crowd for the Trump rally booed when told that they should put on masks. The video shows no sign that they are going to heed the state guideline.
