Another day, another piece of Trump corruption moves forward in the courts:

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/lawsuit-against-trump-inaugural-committee-can-continue-judge-rules-n1239703

Quote
A judge denied a bid Wednesday to dismiss a lawsuit alleging that President Donald Trump's inaugural committee and the Trump Organization misused nonprofit funds to enrich the president's family business.

The suit, brought by Washington, D.C., Attorney General Karl Racine in January, alleges that the president's inaugural committee was aware that it was being overcharged for services at Trump's Washington hotel in 2017 and still spent over $1 million at the hotel, including money for a private party for Trump's three older children.

The inaugural committee argued in part that Racine's office failed to show a violation of the Nonprofit Act and does not allege that the committee is "continuing to act" in a manner that violates the law, court papers say.

But D.C. Superior Court Judge José López ruled against the defendants, writing that Racine's office has "sufficiently alleged that Defendant PIC is continuing to act in a prohibited manner," referring to the Trump inaugural committee.

Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who organized the inauguration, provided tens of thousands of electronic documents to Racine's office, which were used to support the lawsuit's allegations.

"It's important that the truth come out and justice be served," Winston Wolkoff said Wednesday.

At this point the entire Trump Re-election Campaign is about covering up the crimes he and his cronies have committed.  That is literally why it exists.

Climate change poses 'major risk' to U.S. financial system, federal regulator warns
The report offers one of the most strongly worded warnings about the financial risks of climate change yet seen from a federal financial regulator.

Must be another thing that Trump wants to prevent panic about.

Either covering up the crimes or delaying the ultimate legal reckoning for them, if they cannot be covered up.

"What are your plans for a 2nd term, Mr. President?"
"Well, I expect I can stay out of jail for those 4 years, at least. And I want to get that Constitutional Amendment changed."
"Which one, Mr. President?"
"The one which restricts me to two terms. As you may know, my friend Vlad got his Constitution changed to allow him to remain in pow--, I mean in office. As great a president as I have been, it's clear that I deserve a third term, even without the fact that the Democrat Party stole too much of this first term, so I should get a do-over, anyway!"

(Dialog mostly made up, but representative of reality. Or as Michael Cohen says, "Trump means it," when he talks about more than two terms.)

February 25 - Nancy Pelosi live on TV invites “ everyone” to visit Chinatown and deplores xenophobia.

I remember that. That was sheer stupidity and I thought so at the time.

I don't disagree, but it does raise the question of what Pelosi knew.  Did she know that COVID was five times deadlier than the flu and could be transmitted through air?  Did the Mayor of New York City know this when he was telling people to keep going to bars and using the subway?

No.  Of course they didn't.  So why didn't they when the "president" and Bob Woodward knew?

What was Trump telling US Governors about the virus while boasting to a guy writing his biography about how dangerous it is?

heh

Winston Wolkoff helped plan President Trump’s 2017 inauguration but was caught in a scandal when it was reported that her company received $26 million for organizing the event. She resigned in 2018 but has since said she was a scapegoat and unfairly “thrown under the bus.”

Which has nothing to do with the Trump case, other than illustrating yet again that Trump surrounded himself with crooks.

In this case, it is not her words (which would be challenged for coming from an embittered person, natch), but her documents that are going to nail the committee and the other members of it to the wall.

Yes, she is getting revenge, but she is doing it cleverly.

Mike Pence is cozying up to QAnon.

I guess he's decided he is not going to win the presidency ever.

Biden wanted to confront the problem head on and Obama told him to back off to avoid panicking the nation.
Are you paying attention?

And you're claiming that Obama got lucky the virus wasn't deadlier.
1.  So doesn't that mean that Biden had the smarter more careful approach, even if it turned out not necessary (by sheer luck)?
2. Dealing with a virus honestly and actively doesn't equate to PANIC!
But rather being safe and careful, protecting lives.  Good government.
3. Biden's instincts on dealing with a highly transmissible and potentially deadly virus is to take precautions early and protect people.  Hurray.  Exactly what Trump failed to do with CV-19 with disastrous results for most Americans.
4. So as you've cited and proved, Biden would have handled the Virus much better than Trump.  With likely an early effective response.

Thanks for playing ...

Until you have something substantial and honest to say about Trump's conduct, nobody gives a fuck what you say, Ward or Jim or whomever you wish to be today.

TRUMP. Coronvirus. Lying to the country. Killing people with his lies.

You are truly permanently out to lunch.

Mike DeWine says his state was blindsided by the severity of COVID.  Cuomo has said the same, but we now know that Trump knew as early as the end of 2019 what this virus could do.

So while Trump was lying to the American public about COVID what was he telling the governors, REDSTATEWARD?

Senator apologizes for that rare moment of honesty, while still not doing anything to help the constituent.
