California Governor Gavin Newsom agrees on the need for better forestry in addressing the terrible fires in his state  After a wildfires Meeting with President Trump on Monday in California, Mr. Newsom disagreed on climate policy but said, There’s no question” that “we have not done justice on our forest management. . . . I want to thank you for supporting that effort.

A couple of days ago the New York  Times opined:

Millions of Americans are moving into wildfire-prone areas outside of cities, and communities often resist restrictions on development. A century of federal policy to aggressively extinguish all wildfires rather than letting some burn at low levels, an approach now seen as misguided, has left forests with plenty of fuel for especially destructive blazes.

Yet in his California camaign stop Joe Biden blamed the fires totally on “climate change”, an unmistakeable endorsement of the far left whackos of the democrat party.

Pretty sad.

Australia tried that let the low level fires burn policy...3 days they let them burn in the mountains sort of near Canberra in 2012?
Next minute the slow burning low level fires copped a blast of hot winds from the desert, and sprang into raging firestorms that turned parts of Canberra into hell on earth.

IMO any fire that starts must be extinguished as soon as possible.
Some of the fires around Sydney and south burnt for months...no ability to put them out.
Ridiculous in 2020.

Trent and Allie, van lifers from Utah, Eleanor the goat had her baby, shown in a video...are building a cabin home in the Utah mountains, moose walking past with calf.
Pine trees of some sort right up the house.
They dug down, are building a concrete basement.
Not what I'd be doing, but then I'm a scaredy cat.
Snow is gonna bank up between the basement and mountain side...only about 2ft gap.
It's all been approved.
Bears...area not for me.
They rip your face off.
Fire...better have a good warning system...the cell phone coverage seems to be ok where they're building but the cell phone fires warning system failed dismally last summer in Australia.
Is there anyone in the Utah mountains watching for fires all night every night?
You can't fight a firestorm with a garden hose...people died in the downunder fires because they stayed and thought they could.

Lancaster protesters held on whopping $1 million bail each after alleged riots

A Pennsylvania judge threw the book at several protesters – setting their bail at $1 million each – for allegedly rioting in the wake of the police shooting of a knife-wielding Lancaster man.

Lancaster police nabbed a dozen people and one juvenile for staging the riots around 3 a.m. Monday in clashes that culminated in police deploying tear gas at the crowd.
