https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/trump-moves-to-open-tongass-national-forest-for-logging-to-environmentalists-dismay

The Tongass has been in the crosshairs for some time.  I remember making a donation to protect it back in the eighties.  This is a battle that has to be fought over and over.

There are too many people on the planet.   Three billion is sustainable, maybe,  but any measures to get us there are simply taboo topics.   So we'll keep making babies,  who will grow up and want wood furniture and houses, unless we find some other natural rigid fiber that can be grown on massive plantations with high per-acre yields.  But logging rainforest makes less than no sense,  with only short-term gains because you can't just grow another crop.   It's basically loot and pillage agriculture.
That damn Christopher Columbus. Native Americans before him pillaged and looted but, by golly, they didn’t bother the trees!

Ever notice that unless we spell out the point, Ward cannot figure out what the point is?

Whereas, if we spell it out, he only misses it about 70% of the time.

In grammar, a question is a type of sentence expressed in a form that requires—or at least appears to require—an answer. Also known as an interrogative sentence, a question is generally distinguished from a sentence that makes a statement, delivers a command, or expresses an exclamation. Linguists commonly recognize three main types of questions: yes/no questions (also known as polar questions), wh- questions, and alternative questions. In terms of syntax, a question is usually characterized by an inversion of the subject and the first verb in the verb phrase, beginning with an interrogative pronoun( An interrogative word or question word is a function word used to ask a question, such as what, which, when, where, who, whom, whose, why, whether and how. They are sometimes called wh-words, because in English most of them start with wh-. They may be used in both direct questions and in indirect questions.)

I guess you missed either the question or English class

Exactly.

He asked Barton what Barton meant.

Your answer has nothing to do with it.

See what I mean about reading comprehension?

Even when you correctly identify what happened, you still can't figure out how to respond to it!

No less than Barton has explained ( ad infinitum) that this is an open discussion forum .

Without reading your posts, there’s little basis to know that you are a moron.

Vote for Biden, but just the one time this cycle.
