The Judiciary committee already agreed, by bipartisan vote, that confirmation hearing would NOT be conducted remotely. Per CDC, committee members in close contact with Lee on Thursday must quarantine. That delays confirmation. Which is a good thing, for human safety, and for democracy and respecting the 62% of Americans who feel it should wait until the next POTUS is elected.

Judge Amy Coney Barrett failed to disclose to the Judiciary Committee her participation in a 2006 two-page ad in the South Bend Times calling for Roe v. Wade to be overturned and ending the “barbaric legacy” of the law, two Democratic committee aides confirm to NBC News.
Yet another indication that her judicial impartiality on laws concerning reproductive rights should be carefully scrutinized. This means the Senate taking its time on vetting this nominee.
