Silver lining of a more Originalist court might be that legislators take more care in crafting legislation that passes Constitutional muster.   If Originalists have integrity (and it's possible ACB might),  then they are a force towards shrinking the SCt, reducing its active role relative to Congress and state legislatures.  Whatever Barret's minuses,  I found her answers to be somewhat reassuring that she wouldn't turn into a religious activist justice.   But more questioning is needed,  in terms of what she did on the appellate bench.

Missouri suppresses voting even worse.

"Here's part of the RELENTLESS voter suppression in Missouri: They changed the law this summer so you have to have to use a notary to vote by mail-in ballot. So my friend and others in Kansas City went through the expense and work to become notaries to help out disenfranchised citizens for free.

"Then the Republican politicians find out there are people trying to help, and CHANGE THE LAW FOR REGISTERING AS A NOTARY. Now there's a small additional step. So all the people who filed before the law change, who were waiting for their stamps, are now out of luck, because the notary stamp place CLAIMS they just need to make sure they are compliant so they are waiting for the state officials, and guess what? It can't just happen right away. (How much do you want to bet, they will suddenly release the stamps just AFTER the election?)

ALSO, my friend spent all weekend assuring voters that they can drop off their mail-in ballots to Union Station. BUT that was before he saw that a judge had suspended that convenience this weekend, and now they are required once more to mail in their mail-in ballots. Those people he talked to - what are the chances they are going to get THAT memo???!!!
