We've turned the corner and the virus is coming at us full speed.
Or
We've turned the corner and walked directly into a big sneeze cloud.

All the early voting is highly encouraging as it occurred while Trump was stumbling and having one bad week after another.  And from Borat to Pence's people getting infected, the news hasn't got nay better for Trump.  Anything that keeps CV-20 in the news is bad for Trump.  And the increasing infections throughout the country -- the Midwest getting hit hard now can't be good for Trump -- plus the Pence outbreak just drag trump down the drain further.

As for the Hunter Biden laptop, I recall Rudy back in June or July saying that there were materials on Hunter Biden and it would come out and damage/bring down Joe Biden.  Word going around is that Hunter's laptop was "compromised" on a trip to Kazakhstan with a Burisma exec.  Whether they just electronically scooped up its contents or stole into his hotel room, swiped and copied it is unclear.  But there's been talk for years (decades now?) that as soon as foreigners step into Russia hackers try to break into their devices.  When I transit through Moscow, I don't even connect my phone to the free airport wifi, assuming it is massively unsafe.

The story about some semi-blind computer repairman (how does he repair computers?) in Delaware seems to be some lame attempt to legitimatize stolen/hacked info.    Rudy keep saying who cares where the info came from as long as it's true.  But after it's passed through the hands of Russian/ex-Russian agents, who knows what is/isn't real on that hard drive.  Rudy certainly doesn't.  But who wants to reward and encourage foreign actors and govt's from interfering in US elections?  Need to discourage such practices by not promoting illegally obtained and possibly altered/false info.  Stop/limit such future foreign interference.

My advice: you want to do business in dodgy countries, you buy a portable device, transfer the data/info you need on to it, and use just that for such trips.  Don't have personal ish and bank account and other financial stuff, or important/secret business info.  Just what you need for that trip/deal.

Extreme myopia could render you legally blind while still leaving you sight useful for dealing with the small components in modern laptops. Years of staring into crts in a earlier era could have diminished his vision.

The fact that the meat of the story is transparent and stale Russian disinformation about Putin’s implacable foe, Joe Biden,  in furtherance of their on going invasion is a bigger problem with the desperate hoax than the ocular capacity of patsy peddling it.

Corey Gardner is trying to tread the thin line between supporting Trump and getting buried by him.

He was asked if he thought Trump was a moral and ethical man. And the line disappeared, with Gardner falling into the abyss:

So....

Clinton led by 4 on 10/29, trailed by 2 on election day per IBD  and subsequently lost.

So be careful.....

Longish article on The Epoch Times and how it has transformed into a right wing conspiracy pro-Trump outlet which denies connection to Falun Gong.

Seems I was occasionally reading it during its period of respectability.
Quote
By 2014, The Epoch Times was edging closer to Mr. Li’s vision of a respectable news outlet. Subscriptions were growing, the paper’s reporting was winning journalism awards, and its finances were stabilizing.

Followed by tough financial times and an embrace of Trump -- hoping he would take on the commies in China.

I used their free proxy server FreeGate for 5+ years as a means of accessing youtube, NYTimes, google and other stuff blocked in China.  And some of the time there would be links to Epoch Times stories below the main VPN page and many of the articles were fine reporting, with maybe one FalunGong or anti-China article mixed in.  But about 2+ years ago, the gov't started making their VPN unreliable and finally blocked their VPN completely in China a year ago.  Now I use a Japanese academic free VPN, with hundreds of servers in Japan and Korea.  Works well and gets me some weird ads from those countries.

The Electoral Map in 1976:

Notable how Carter retained all of the South; while the West Coast was all GOP
NJ, CN and CA all went Republican.
The MidWest was split, with MI and IL going GOP.

CA, IL and NJ all RED
TX, FLA were BLUE.
Also the population hadn't yet shifted South and SW.
FLA and NJ both had 17 EV's.

More of 1976 was a different time:

Quote
Swine flu
Ford was confronted with a potential swine flu pandemic. In the early 1970s, an influenza strain H1N1 shifted from a form of flu that affected primarily pigs and crossed over to humans. On February 5, 1976, an army recruit at Fort Dix mysteriously died and four fellow soldiers were hospitalized; health officials announced that "swine flu" was the cause.

Soon after, public health officials in the Ford administration urged that every person in the United States be vaccinated. Although the vaccination program was plagued by delays and public relations problems, some 25% of the population was vaccinated by the time the program was canceled in December 1976.

It was an election year and Ford took quick action.
Ford and his family were vaccinated on TV.
Initially there was concern it might be related to the 1918 flu.
Then in August, Legionnaires Disease, a type of pneumonia broke out in Philly.

And the rush to handle swine flu in '76 is often partially blamed for the sluggish response to AIDS (of course, discrimination was involved there as well).

https://iop.harvard.edu/youth-poll/harvard-youth-poll

This is a poll of 18-29 year olds, nobody else. While it discusses Trump and Biden (and cursorily Jorgenson and Hawkins), it also looks at what they think the role of government should be wrt mental health, economics, racism and race relations, and regulation of business, among other things.

Some surprising results. I don't see them as the harbinger of a major voting turnout that the report's prose suggests - sure, a turnout at the level of 2008 would be grand, but... I want more!

September 24 2019 is the last time Trump's OVERALL DISAPPROVE was lower than today's 46%

Pay attention, folks.  Not campaigning is not the way to go

Actual poll data, rather than your daily dose of Rasmussen lies.

In particular, have a look at "Can Trump Win the Midwest Again," in which the differences between 2016 and 2020 are made visually blatant. I still don't think PA counts as "midwest," but other than that, it's pretty clear. Much of the rest of the page discusses non-poll issues of merit.

Trump nationalism won in 2016.

Biden globalism might win in 2020.

Misogyny won in 2016.

Election interference by James Comey won in 2016.

Trump's lies won in 2016.
