Trump adviser Stephen Miller reveals aggressive second-term immigration agenda
The Trump adviser says the president would fight to limit asylum, target "sanctuary cities," expand the "travel ban" and cut work visas.

Too bad that most of the rest of DJT is so bad the country will need that sort of program in the post pandemic future.

MSNBC lays out this morning - pretty fair/good likelihood TRUMP grabs these electorals -

North Carlina, Georgia, Ohio, Arizona, Texas, Iowa and Florida -

which would bring the President to 258 electorals.

12 left to get between PA (20), Michigan (16), Wisconsin (10), Minnesota (10), Nevada (6), Maine 2 (1), Nebraska 2 (1)

I have given PA to Biden already.  Puts him at 252.  Combos for Joe to win are MI/NV, MI/WS, MI/MN, MI/NE/ME, WIS/MIN, WIS/ NV/NE/ME, MIN/NV/NE/ME

That should catch you all up.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-minnesota-rally-250-walz-covid-19

President Trump will limit his Rochester, Minn., rally audience to 250 people on Friday, in accordance with directives from Gov. Tim Walz intended to help address a spike in cases.

----

"Without question, Minnesota Democrats had hoped that the president would simply cancel the event, but he will not allow partisan politicians to deprive people of their First Amendment rights to gather peacefully to hear directly from the President of the United States," the campaign's notice said.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/media/2020/10/29/glenn-greenwald-intercept-resigns

Co-founder resigns, claiming censorship by the editors over negative Biden material he was going to put in a story.

They insist they did not tell him to take it out, but to substantiate it. He failed to.

Greenwald has been a major factor in normalizing the views of hard right white supremacist and neo- Nazis.

WCOTC

Haven't read the story yet,  but wasn't Greenwald admired by the Left,  back in the day?   I mean,  wasn't he with The Guardian,  and did a series on Edward Snowden as a hero of democracy and transparency?  Is this the same guy?

I read what Greenwald wanted The Intercept to publish.
He claims to be neutral and truth telling, but it's notable that he discusses Hunter Biden's laptop without ever mentioning Rudy.  Or the fishy involvement of the Delaware repairman.  Or that the laptop data was allegedly stolen during a visit to Kazakhstan, and floating around Ukraine for months.  Greenwald claims the liberal
media is all about protecting Biden, without acknowledging that Team Trump couldn't get the WSJ to run the story.  And you'd have to read closely to note that Joe Biden was out of office when a proposed Hunter Biden deal was being discussed (and it's not clear Joe Biden was involved anyway).   Or that Rudy sat on the info for a  month or two releasing it late in the election process when there would be little time to verify or refute.  Lastly Greenwald argues essentially that it doesn't matter if it's a foreign intelligence op, and foreign interference in the US presidential election (again), because he only cares if the info is accurate and of interest to the public. Which is a rather problematic set of standards that simply encourages and rewards foreign interference, dirty tricks, and illegal activity.  Otherwise, I was amused how he talks up the NY Post as though that isn't basically Fox Newspaper,
and totally partisan outlet for all sorts of Team Trump opinion and support.

https://www.politico.com/amp/news/2020/10/29/miami-voter-turnout-democrats-433643

Miami says the pre-election turnout is way too low among Dems.

Allow me to summarize -- for the next few days,  we will be seeing news stories that can scare the living shit out of us (those who want the corrupt autocracy to end).

Make PR a state.   Then sell Florida to Denmark.   Save buying all new flags with an extra star sewn on.

https://www.theroot.com/fbi-fails-to-release-report-detailing-white-supremacist-1845485197

Quote
White supremacists are America’s greatest terror threat. The Department of Homeland Security has said as much, and the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division has also admitted it. But this year, the FBI is late in fulfilling its legal obligation to release a report detailing the extent of white supremacist terrorism and other domestic terrorism happening in the U.S. Some officials are afraid that the failure to release this report is meant to protect the current administration by waiting until after the upcoming election to do what is required.

Four months late without a plan for when to release it.

They blame the pandemic (despite that's having ended according to the White House).

I think this is just right.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/29/opinions/trump-clemency-flood-of-pardons-osler/index.html

As with so many things Trump, it prompts me to want us to reconsider the pardon power of a president.
