You may be right
I may be crazy
But it just may be a lunatic you're looking for
Turn out the light
Don't try to save me
You may be wrong for all I know
But you may be right

Don't ya just hate it when there's no result on election night!
The victory party fizzles out.
You wait days for a result, and by then you go
"Whatever".
No wonder many people don't follow politics.

It’s nice to have Wisconsin back. With Nevada and Arizona, that’s 254 - 213. Georgia & Pennsylvania should follow suit after the next tranche or two of ballots. That gets Biden to 280. Michigan May follow though it won’t be necessary to put President Joe over the top.

It's still too soon.  Biden still seems to be trailing and counting on a late swing.  Pennsylvania seems out of reach.

There’s a lot of counting going on in Philly right now. Should have a clearer idea on PA by tomorrow afternoon.

Hopefully this election will be the death knell of polling regarding a candidate's lead in the national vote. Maybe accurate, but irrelevant.

Watching the BBC America coverage makes for entertainment.

Can someone explain why they stopped counting in Nevada? They do a helluva lot of counting in that state, every damned day. But still counting??? Hhmmmmmm.

My early analysis of this election is that we have learned that the divisions in this country run far more deeply than most of us suspected.

So looks good for Joe in WI.
He's ahead by a mere 7K, but mostly with Green Bay absentee ballots left.
(ink ran out in a vote processing machine and they had to go to City Hall to get more).

Sen Kelly in AZ good thing.
Welcome AZ to the Blue team.
When I grew up it was Barry Goldwater/Sandra Day O'Connor hardcore GOP.
I guess demographic changes as the population grew.  I'm assuming more CA retirees and Hispanics.  Lime-guy can likely fill us in more.

Good for DEMs.  CO and NM are already stalwart Blue states.  AZ would be another inroad into the formerly solid West.  If Dems can secure the SW and the SE (VA/NC/GA), they'll be in good shape and can stave off the loss of an occasional Midwest state.  Really a shame Dems can't seem to crack FLA and OH -- big prizes that keep slipping away.

My early analysis of this election is that we have learned that the divisions in this country run far more deeply than most of us suspected.

We've had protests in the streets for months and months.
Facemasks and other basic health/safety precautions totally politicized.
Armed groups in the Michigan statehouse.
A plot to kidnap the Michigan governor.
Trump calling for Biden to be arrested and calling Kamala a monster.
Partisan media doing the best.
Trump blustering about being unwilling to accept any results that aren't Trump wins.  Mail in ballots seen as controversial.
Folks boarding up their shops expecting riots no matter which side wins.
Some folks talking about the next civil war.

Not sure how much more polarized things can get without getting out of control.
I thought we were extremely polarized before voting.  The only thing keeping Trump afloat and with a chance imo.

Maybe they needed a better candidate folks were actually excited about.
Dems usually go for the bland establishment candidate (Mondale, Gore, Kerry, Hillary).  The two exceptions when the Dems ran outsiders who generated enthusiasm-- Clinton and Obama -- were both winning plays.  All the establishment candidates lost.  Sure it's not easy to find political stars, but enthusiasm matters.

Primaries seem to be an unreliable way of picking a party's strongest nominee.   Time to consider having a political machine take care of that.

Where's the good news for the Left?

AZ for Biden
Sen. Hickenlooper in CO
Legal weed in NJ

... and a chance Biden wins.

Another underperform for the Dems.

Otherwise:
Biden should have talked up the Obama economy more.  And the Bill Clinton economy.  And made the case that the Dems run the economy better.

Tied his much improved handling of CV-19 with opening the economy sooner and better.

Also should have campaigned with Jill more, as she is smart, appealing and looks a lot more youthful than Ol' Joe.

And should have spent more time in MI and WI and PA, the three states that again will determine the election.  Close n NC, GA and FL is nice but still = losing.  Just win those 3 midwest states and it was a wrap.  Same as last go for Hillary.

Another huge 4-year *SIGH*

Best scenario wight now is Biden still pulls through and survives all the Trump legal challenges in PA.  And a 50-50 Senate.  So could still be a DEM sweep by the barest of margins (in what should have been a landslide year).

Thanks for the echoing sentiment.  Unfortunately, I think an old fashioned political machine would likely have produced HRC and Biden the last two cycles as well.  But there remains something to be said of a party apparatus composed of professionals with bosses and smoke-filled rooms.

If Biden is to win it will be thru the count of the mail in ballots.

A half million ballots still to be counted in MI.   Many of them where Biden was polling strongly.

Still doesn't look too easy atm for 270.   Or a flipped Senate.  At the end of the day,  I have to keep seeing America as a land of rubes,  easily conned.
