There are so far a minority of GOPers who have condemned Trump's abject lying and fascist commentary attacking our democratic processes at approximately 7:00pm last night.
Truly Making America Great means maintaining our history of respect for our democratic processes, upholding our Constitution, and doing nothing that would render this country as something other than the shining city upon the hill.
Shame on those who support Trump, now, after him coming out and asserting such blatant disregard for our country and its institution of democracy.
God Bless Republicans like Governor Hogan in MD, who immediately responded last night, via tweet, “There is no defense for the President’s comments tonight undermining our Democratic process. America is counting the votes, and we must respect the results as we always have before.”
And Pennsylvania Republican senator Pat Toomey told NBC: “The president’s allegations of large-scale fraud and theft of the election are just not substantiated. I’m not aware of any significant wrongdoing here.”
Even Chris Christie said, "“Show us the evidence. We heard nothing today about evidence.” and “This kind of thing, all it does is inflame without informing, and we cannot permit inflammation without information.”
Paul Mitchell, a Republican congressman of Michigan: “Every legal vote should and will be counted – as they always are...Anything less harms the integrity of our elections and is dangerous for our democracy,."
“Counting every vote is at the heart of democracy. That process is often long and, for those running, frustrating. The votes will be counted.” Mitt Romney, the senator of Utah and former Republican presidential candidate.
But they are not in the majority of the GOP. They are in the minority within that party.
Lindsey Graham, "I'm here tonight to stand with President Trump."
Kevin McCarthy? "Every American should stand up. Whatever they see ... tell us if they see something that's incorrect out there."...though there is on there there!
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's office declined to comment to CNN on Trump's remarks on Thursday evening.
On Friday morning, McConnell tweeted, "Every legal vote should be counted."
"Here's how this must work in our great country: Every legal vote should be counted. Any illegally-submitted ballots must not. All sides must get to observe the process. And the courts are here to apply the laws & resolve disputes. That's how Americans' votes decide the result," McConnell tweeted.
That is hardly a condemnation of the lies that Trump tried to sell last night.
And here? Yes, here on this site we have the likes of RED who gives his consent to rejecting the very foundation of this country by his total silence on the matter.
We have identified a true anti-American among us, and until he states his full rejection of Trump's performance for the cameras on Thursday evening, there is absolutely no reason to consider anything he says here as having a shred of importance or an iota of validity.
