Every member of the Senate GOP caucus declined invitations to appear on "Meet the Press" this Sunday, according to the show's host Chuck Todd.

“We invited every single Republican senator to appear on Meet the Press this morning. They all declined," said Todd on Sunday's show.

Pretty wild!

You would think they did not want to be put on the spot about the presidential succession and Trump's refusal to allow the transition to move forward.

Or about COVID-19 and the administrations refusal to even attempt to address the immediate situation.

GA Sect of State on CNN with Wolf reports that

Sen Lindsay Graham suggested and pressured him (a Repub) to find and throw-out legally cast (presumably mail-in) ballots.

Lindsay what do they have on you, other than you're a fucking fascist cocksucker?

the story

https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/526222-georgia-secretary-of-state-says-graham-other-republicans-have-pressured

Georgia's Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said on Monday that Republican leaders, such as Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), have been putting pressure on him to exclude legal ballots in order for President Trump to be declared the winner and earn the state's 16 electoral votes.

In an interview with the Washington Post, Raffensperger said Graham asked him on Friday if he had the authority to toss out ballots in counties with a high rate of non-matching signatures. He also questioned if poll workers had accepted ballots with non-matching signatures due to political bias, according to Raffensperger.

The precedent set by the Clinton Administration in the contested 2000 election is that to ascertain an apparent President-Elect there would need to be a concession—which has not yet occurred in 2020—or no more legitimate continuing legal challenges—which has not yet occurred in 2020.

According to Congressional intent and past precedent set by President Clinton, as of today, there is no apparent President-Elect.

YOU might want to keep up.

Exactly.

Knowing the host would want them to

a)  speak for President Trump

and/or

b)  defend him

when there are so many other important matters they could be talking about.

These are legislators - and should be treated with proper respect.  When it is easy to know they are not to be, avoidance is their right - and their wise option.

I will remind everyone the BIDEN team had their fraud detectors out as well, particularly with their team of lawyers in Florida.

Campaigns are ready when elections are close - so this "delay" shouldn't even be unexpected.  Especially not so during this time of shifting rules due to COVID.

New voting rules + close loss automatically equals "hmmmmmmmm....".  Pretty much sums it up.

Re:  the lawsuits thrown out, this is also not uncommon.  It's a bit of a volume business.

"I always love it when I am wrong, but in a good way"

- Doctor Ashish Jha, MSNBC, regarding the efficacy of the 2 vaccines in such a hurry.

Yeah, bro - so many of you wrong pre-election - and about so much - but swaying the vote was important.  You played your part wonderfully.

Might have been less skepticism if you hadn’t fallen for and touted 3very drop of snake oil Trump trotted out.

These are legislators,  whose office requires them to be accountable to the public and field tough questions from the press.   "Proper respect" is earned,  not conferred by a laurel wreath or title.

You're out of date.

In 2000, there was no apparent winner. for a long time.

In 2010, they redid the law.

In 2020, there is an apparent winner, even according to Trump.
